India slams Pakistan at UNSC for peddling false narratives on Jammu & Kashmir

In a sharp jibe at the atrocities and disinformation campaign of Pakistan, India slammed Islamabad at UNSC & exposed its illicit motives. Permanent Representative to the UN Harish Parvathaneni reiterated that UNSC membership is a huge responsibility and the forum cannot be abused by Pakistan to circulate biased and false narratives. India also strongly reaffirmed that Kashmir is an integral part of India and hollow claims & empty rhetoric of Pakistan will not alter the sovereign reality

Pakistan and its fake narrative or disinformation campaign against India is a never ending futile saga. Unable to win over India in terms of economy, political stability or in the kinetic/conventional warfare, Islamabad indulges in spreading biased and false narratives against New Delhi. Repeated invocation of Kashmir at multilateral forums illustrates this desperation of Islamabad to target India.

However, India has repeatedly debunked these stunts by Pakistan and has reiterated that biased statements, false narratives will not change the fundamental reality and Kashmir was, is and will always remain as the inalienable and integral part of India. In the latest row, India took a sharp jibe at Pakistan in the United Nations Security Council for unnecessarily invoking the Kashmir issue in the multilateral forum, a matter that completely lies within the sovereignty of India.

India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni strongly rejected Pakistan’s “unwarranted” reference to Jammu & Kashmir during the UN General Assembly discussions. He further asserted that Pakistan is misusing the UN platform by raising a matter that is purely internal to India. Thus, no amount of “empty rhetoric” and “hollow claims” by Pakistan will not alter the fundamental reality and Jammu & Kashmir was, is and will always remain as the inalienable and integral part of India.

Pakistan is abusing its UNSC membership by peddling false narratives

Speaking about Kashmir in the multilateral forum is a characteristic misuse of the UN, as the platform should not be used for divisive political interests, India’s Ambassador to the UN further exclaimed. Pakistan is in fact, abusing and exploiting its UNSC membership by using the forum to peddle false narratives and to spread misinformation. “I would like to remind Pakistan that being a member of the UN Security Council is a huge responsibility. It is not a forum for peddling biased and false narratives”, Ambassador Harish thus reminded Pakistan of its true duties as a UNSC member and exposed its illicit motives.

Kashmir is an integral part of India

Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni also yet again reaffirmed Kashmir as an integral part of India. “I would like to make it loud and clear. Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India. Any assertions to the contrary are baseless, devoid of and inconsistent with historical facts. Empty rhetoric and hollow claims by Pakistan would not change this fundamental reality”, Ambassador further added.
