Hindutva is Bharat’s identity and intellectual foundation, Says J Nandakumar

Hindutva is Bharat’s identity and intellectual foundation stone, said J. Nandakumar, National Convener of Prajnapravah, while addressing a citizens’ programme organised by RSS Kochi Mahanagar in connection with the centenary of RSS on May 30.

He said that RSS does not view anniversaries and jubilees as occasions for celebration, but as opportunities to assess how far the organisation has progressed towards achieving its goal. Every milestone, he said, is a time for introspection. Even after completing a century, the Sangh continues its journey towards the nation’s pinnacle of glory (Param Vaibhavam), adhering to the principle that the means should be as pure as the end.

J. Nandakumar stated that the Sangh is involved in social transformation through man-making, as conceived by Swami Vivekananda. Foreign invaders could conquer us when we were weak. However, foreigners who came here when our culture was strong could easily assimilate into our civilisation. He said that even Karl Marx had acknowledged this in his writings.

Nandakumar called upon prominent citizens, who have proved their mettle in their respective fields, to take part in this great mission physically, mentally, or financially.

Meanwhile, at another programme held in Kochi on May 27, he launched “Shrutam”, a mobile application, at the Madhavji Auditorium, Dakshin Kerala Pranth Karyalaya, Elamakkara, Kochi.

On the occasion, he said that the nation is empowered by strengthening its memories. Invaders tried to erase those memories and script a new history. The “Shrutam” app is a solution to this memory issue. “Shrutam” is intended to convey nation-related goodness and virtues to the people. This is an era of information explosion. “Shrutam” will be used to convey the truth to the people and to gather knowledge and wisdom.

RSS Kochi Mahanagar Sanghchalak Adv. P. Vijayakumar presided over the programme. S. Sumesh introduced “Shrutam” to the audience. Dakshin Keralam Pranth Boudhik Pramukh P. Unnikrishnan also spoke on the occasion.
