A tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district has left a family devastated after a 17-year-old Class 11 student was allegedly stabbed to death by a friend and his associates in Khoda Colony. The victim, identified as Surya Pratap, succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while his family continues to demand swift justice and the arrest of the prime accused, Asad.

The incident, which occurred on May 28, has sent shockwaves through the locality and sparked outrage among residents. Police have already arrested three accused persons in connection with the case and launched an intensive search operation to apprehend Asad, who remains absconding.

Surya Pratap was a Class 11 student studying at a private school in Khoda Colony. According to his family, he was the younger son in the household and was expected to shoulder family responsibilities in the future.

His death has left the family shattered, particularly because Surya’s father is no longer alive. Family members said they had pinned their hopes on the teenager, who was known among relatives and neighbours as a cheerful and hardworking student.

The attack occurred on Thursday, following which Surya was rushed to hospital in critical condition. Despite doctors’ efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

Following the incident, Surya’s elder brother Yash lodged a complaint at Khoda police station, leading to the registration of an FIR and the launch of a police investigation.

Three Arrested, the main accused encountered

Ghaziabad Police have arrested three of the accused named in the FIR. The arrested individuals have been identified as Farhan, Asif and Nawab.

Investigators, however, continue to search for the prime accused, Asad has been dead in the encounter launched by the police.

Officials have stated that further action will follow as the investigation progresses and evidence is collected regarding the role of each accused.

The death of her teenage son has left Surya’s mother, Saroj, inconsolable.

Speaking about her loss, she said that the family had suffered an irreparable tragedy and demanded the harshest possible punishment for the accused.

“I have not seen my son’s face since May 28,” she said emotionally, recalling the days following the attack.

Saroj explained that she has three children — one daughter and two sons — but her elder son is physically challenged. She said she had hoped that Surya would become her support in old age and help the family overcome its difficulties.

“Now he has also been taken away from us,” she lamented.

Her grief has been compounded by the circumstances surrounding the murder, which she believes was a deliberate and brutal act.

Sister Recalls Receiving the Devastating Phone Call

Surya’s sister described the moment the family learned about the attack.

According to her, the family received a call informing them that Surya had been stabbed and rushed to hospital.

She said the call came in the early hours and immediately plunged the family into panic.

At the time, she was at her marital home and could not reach the hospital immediately. By the time she arrived, the family was already struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.

The young woman said the family had still not recovered from the shock of losing their brother and son.

One of the most significant allegations made by the victim’s family concerns the circumstances that led to the fatal confrontation.

According to Surya’s sister, Asad had called her brother to meet him on the occasion of Bakrid.

The family initially believed the meeting was a friendly interaction and had no reason to suspect danger.

However, she alleged that what appeared to be a routine meeting turned into a deadly trap.

According to her account, Asad was not alone and was accompanied by several other individuals when Surya arrived.

The family claims that multiple persons were present during the attack and has demanded that all those involved be identified and prosecuted.

Old Dispute May Have Triggered Violence

The victim’s sister further claimed that Surya and Asad had been involved in a minor disagreement several months earlier.

According to her, the disagreement had occurred around eight months before the murder.

The family believed the issue had long been resolved and never imagined it would result in such a violent outcome.

Investigators are examining whether previous tensions between the two youths played any role in the events that culminated in the fatal stabbing.

As police continue their investigation, Surya’s family has repeatedly called for strict action against the accused.

The family insists that justice can only be served when every person involved in the attack is brought before the law.

Surya’s sister said that the brutality of the crime had left the family devastated and that they wanted the accused to face the strongest punishment available under the law.

The family also urged police to expedite the arrest of the absconding accused and ensure that the investigation reaches its logical conclusion.

With three arrests already made and efforts underway to locate the main suspect, authorities are examining witness statements, forensic evidence and other leads to establish the complete sequence of events.

The murder of the 17-year-old student has become one of the most discussed criminal cases in Ghaziabad in recent days, raising concerns about youth violence and the circumstances that led to the killing of a teenager whose future was abruptly cut short.

As the investigation progresses, Surya Pratap’s family continues to wait for justice while mourning the loss of a son and brother whose life ended in a brutal act of violence.
