Kollam (Dakshin Keralam): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was formed and nurtured on a crystal-clear ideological foundation, said Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar. He stated that the hard work of the swayamsevaks and the active support of society are what have strengthened the organisation’s 100-year journey.

He was speaking on the “The Ideological Foundation of the Sangh” at the Prabuddha Paura Sangamam organized at the Nani Hotel in Chinnakada, Kollam, as part of the Sangh Shatabdi events.

He noted that the Sangh worked to uplift a colonised society in accordance with Bharatiya ethos. Swayamsevaks shaped their activities based on their core ideology, rather than merely reacting to circumstances, and time has proven their actions right. He added that it is poetic justice that the very school where the Sangh founder, Doctor Ji, chanted Vande Mataram despite restrictions by British authorities, now celebrates Vande Mataram.

”The founder of the Sangh was firmly convinced that we need to manifest the Dharma, culture, and life of this nation through our own perspective. That is why he declared without a shred of doubt that the uniqueness of Bharat is Hindutva, and that this is a Hindu Rashtra,” Sunil Ambekar said.

He further explained that Hindutva is the essence that binds our entire society together and strengthens our mutual bonds. Anyone who follows Hindu values of life is a Hindu. It is not a religion; it is a way of life and a culture.

Hindu Dharma encompasses many faiths. Dharma represents the code of conduct that guides all these faiths on the right path. Both Hindu Rashtra and Hindu Dharma are all-inclusive, and there is nothing in Hindutva that leads to division. The Sangh will never compromise on national unity and patriotism. Doctor Ji envisioned the RSS not as an organisation within society, but as the organisation of the entire society. The Sangh is not against any religion; anyone can join it. He emphasised that reaching out to everyone without discrimination is the need of the hour.

Dakshin Keralam Prant Pracharak S. Sudarshanan spoke on the topic of Panch Parivartan. Dr RK Bhudeshi presided over the event. Kollam Mahanagar Sah Sanghchalak Dr G Mohan, SR Sajeev, and S. Ranjan also participated.

Responding to a question, Sunil Ambekar stated that Bharat’s youth is strong and visionary enough to regulate the influence of technology.

”Ours is a democracy. Anyone can use social media and express their likes and dislikes. Our nation possesses inherent wisdom. Our youth and adolescents are discerning and wise, and they are deeply committed to constitutional values. The fact that 93% of people voted in Bengal is a testament to this,” he pointed out.

He concluded by saying that while this is an era of technology and changes will happen, we must shape technology to align with our culture. Social media should not control us; rather, we must control it.
