The meeting will focus on a wide range of contemporary issues, including education policy, student welfare, social challenges, and the role of youth in nation-building. ABVP leaders stated that the discussions will aim to strengthen constructive student engagement in academic and social transformation.

Key Preparatory Meetings on May 26 and May 27

Before the main executive council meeting, a central preparatory meeting will be held on May 26. During this session, detailed discussions will be conducted on various proposals to be presented at the national executive meeting, which will later be finalised for adoption.

This will be followed by a central working committee meeting on May 27, which will see the participation of around 120 members from across the country. This session will also deliberate extensively on key educational and organisational issues.

These preparatory meetings are expected to streamline the agenda and ensure focused discussions during the main conference.

Organisational Meetings and Inaugural Day Activities

On the morning of May 28, various organisational ayams of the ABVP will hold separate meetings. These sessions will focus on internal coordination, future planning, and strengthening organisational outreach at the grassroots level.

The inaugural phase of the conference will also include discussions on the implementation of upcoming resolutions and strategic initiatives for the organisation’s national activities.

Grand Civic Reception to Be Major Highlight

A major highlight of the event will be the grand civic reception ceremony scheduled on May 28 at the university auditorium. The event is expected to witness the participation of around 1,500 former ABVP activists, supporters, and prominent personalities from different walks of life.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has agreed to attend the civic reception as the chief guest. His participation is expected to add significant political and administrative importance to the event.

Organisers stated that extensive preparations are underway to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the event, with volunteers and local ABVP workers actively engaged in coordination and arrangements.

Focus on Education Reform and Social Development

During the national executive meeting, extensive discussions will be held on India’s current education system, evolving social conditions, and the role of students in addressing contemporary challenges.

Several key resolutions are expected to be passed, which will guide ABVP’s future programmes and initiatives across the country. Based on these resolutions, the organisation is likely to launch education reform campaigns, awareness drives, and constructive social initiatives in the coming year.

ABVP leadership emphasised that the primary objective of the conference is to empower students and encourage their active participation in nation-building processes while strengthening their sense of social responsibility.

Showcasing Odisha’s Cultural Heritage

In addition to organisational and policy discussions, the conference will also highlight the rich cultural heritage of Odisha. A special cultural exhibition will be organised to showcase the state’s traditions, art forms, and historical legacy.

Through this exhibition, delegates from different states and neighbouring countries will have the opportunity to experience Odisha’s cultural diversity, often described as a reflection of “Mini India.”

The initiative aims to promote cultural exchange and deepen understanding among participants from diverse backgrounds.
