State Assembly Results 2026: BJP supporters feast on Jhalmuri as BJP makes opposition bite the dust in Assam & WB

The fragrance of Kolkata’s famous ‘Jhalmuri’ filled the air at the BJP’s Madhya Pradesh headquarters today as party workers erupted in early celebrations following dominant trends in the 2026 Assembly Election results. While the counting centers are located in West Bengal, Assam, and Tamil Nadu, the heart of India’s central state beat in unison with the saffron surge appearing on the screens

Bhopal: An atmosphere of celebration swept across Madhya Pradesh as soon as early trends from the assembly election results, covering five states, including West Bengal and Assam indicated a lead for the BJP. Party workers appeared particularly jubilant upon receiving signals of a lead in West Bengal and Assam, and crowds began to gather at the state headquarters.

At the BJP state headquarters located in the capital, Bhopal, workers began celebrating amidst confident claims of victory. Here, workers were treated to ‘Jhalmuri’, a famous Bengali delicacy as part of the festivities. BJP State President Hemant Khandelwal remarked that this taste was not new to him, as his in-laws hail from Kolkata. Taking a jibe at the Congress party, he stated that the party is now shrinking and fading away from the country’s political map.

Arrangements were also made for firecrackers to mark the celebrations and workers expressed their joy through singing and dancing to the beats of drums and traditional percussion instruments. He asserted, “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party is marching towards a historic victory, backed by unprecedented public support.”

pic.twitter.com/1psfPqYrW5

Madhya Pradesh Leaders Also Took Charge

In these elections, several senior BJP leaders from Madhya Pradesh were deployed to West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and other states to spearhead the election campaign. The party contested the elections under a comprehensive strategy in collaboration with its allies and the early results have significantly boosted the morale of the party workers.

Celebrations Continue; Awaiting Final Results

Although these are merely early trends at this stage, the workers buoyed by the lead, remain optimistic that this advantage will translate into a definitive victory.

All eyes are now fixed on the final results; however, for the moment, the celebratory atmosphere within the BJP camp has reached its zenith.
