Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Keralam on April 4 to electrify the BJP workers as well as the voters. PM Modi reached Kochi International Airport around 2.30pm. From there he flew to Changanassery, near Tiruvilla. In Tiruvilla, thousands of people from 11 nearby assembly constituencies were awaiting to have a glimpse of him and to hear his magic spells. Tiruvilla is one of the A Class constituencies in the state where Anoop Antony, the dynamic state general secretary of Kerala BJP is engaged in a high voltage contest. Mathew T. Thomas of Janata Dal (Secular)/LDF and  Varghese Mamman  of Keala Congress (Joseph)/UDF are the other major candidates in Tiruvilla.

PM Modi  landed in Changanasserry at 3pm. Thousands of people had been waiting, on either sides of the road and on Tiruvilla Municipal Grounds in Tiruvilla,  in the scorching sun since the morning to eye and hear their beloved Pradhan Sevak. Women, cutting across age, were in incredible numbers.

PM Modi started his speech by calling out loudly Jay Keralam and Jai Viksit Keralam. Then he addressed the ocean of enthusiastic crowd comprising of thousands after thousands. He started in Malayalam, meaning ‘My dear brothers and sisters of Keralam. My namaskaram to all. My pranams at the holy feet of Bhagavan Vallabhan (deity of Sree Vallabha temple in Tiruvilla). Pranams to Sree Sabarimala Ayyapa. Then he saluted a small girl who waved a picture of him drawn by her,, and a gentleman who waved the picture of his (PM’s) mother, drawn by him.  Then the Prime Minister called all the eleven candidates of the neighbouring constituencies to the front row of the dais and stood at the centre. Then he held the hands of Anoop Antony and Kummanam Rajasekharan and all raised the hands in unison.

Then the PM went back to the mike and continued his speech. He said, such a large crowd in Tiruvilla proves the confidence the people bestow on BJP. He said, even though a roadshow was not planned, a large number of people lined up on the roadside to greet him. Mothers, sisters, and children are in good number to greet. It was like human walls. PM said that this time the scenario is different from the past. It is a significant change: LDF’s  (CPM-led ruling Left Democratic Front) fall is certain. The NDA rule is imminent.

The PM said, ” This election is a milestone. Then he told about Anoop Antony, the NDA candidate of Tiruvilla: “Anoop has been working for me for the last five years with utmost dedication. Anoop has been working for me round-the-clock, throughout the country as my trusted, dedicated lieutenant. I know his strength. Now, I am sparing his service for Keralam”.  The Prime Minister said, hereafter Tiruvilla will be the epicentre of development. The PM said, the trust of the people of Tiruvilla is his strength.

The PM referred to his chat with the booth level BJP workers of Keralam couple of days ago. It was an audio interaction. He spoke to about 1.5 lakhs workers. He said, he could feel their enthusiasm. He is sure, they will give a ‘farewell’ to LDF.

The PM continued his speech: God has given Keralam unlimited resources. Vast seashores and rich ‘blue wealth’ are remarkable. There is rich scope for industries and tourism. Both LDF and UDF, when they are in power, do not give attention to development. Village roads are poor. No good bridges. In Kottayam, Medical College Hospital is in poor condition. He was referring to the mishap took place there a few months before when a woman died as the building collapsed. Basic infrastructure is lacking. He wondered how can the state’s standard of living improve under these circumstances. So far, no BJP government has ruled here. Still centre gives all helps for the development. Centre gave five times more what Congress government gave to the state. We will extend all sorts of assistance to the state. Houses under the PM Awas Yojna is one among them. Villages get water under Jal Jeevan Mission. Crores of rupees reach the farmers direct though Kissan Samman scheme. (Total disbursed: Over Rs 4.27 lakhs cr to over 9.32 cr beneficiaries). Rubber farmers are also getting help hand.

PM said, seven Christian majority states in North East are ruled by BJP. Goa, a Christian majority state, is under BJP rule. They are all in the path of development. Now, what they witness is what did not happen during the last 50 years. Keralam will come under BJP rule too. Then the problems being faced by the people, including labourers and fishermen, will be solved.

Modiji said that infrastructure development is taking place in Keralam. The BJP government materialsed the railway development. Vande Bharat train runs through Kottayam. Sabarimala railway will take the pilgrims to the Sabarimala shrine directly. Then the businessman will get more opportunities. Youths will get job opportunities. But, the Kerala government does not take an interest. Now, Kerala will move towards development. A double-engine government can solve the problems the state faces. This is Modi’s guarantee. Industries will come.

Mothers, sisters and girls are the people who are benefited by the NDA rule. Several issues being faced by women are solved. Several others are being solved. Toiled are provided. Houses are given under PM Awas Yojana. Majority of the Mudra Yojanas are achieved by women. Lakhs of crores of rupees are invested by them with the help of Mudra Yojana.

PM asserted that double engine government will come in Keralam. Mothers, sisters and girls will be taken care of. Government plans to provide free cancer vaccine to girls above 14.

The Prime Minister said that his government has got the parliament approval for 33% reservation for women. It will be implemented in the Lok Sabha elections of 2029. Budget session has been extended to three more days. It is for the discussion on the number of members under the reservation. There are fake propagandas by Congress and the Lefts that since the population in Kerala and Tamil Nadu have come down, number of MPs would be reduced. We have invited all parties to discuss this.

Then the PM told about the youths going to other states and abroad. He said, industries should grow. Corruption and communalism are the hurdles. They should be demolished to save the youths. The monies remitted by the youths working abroad comes to our bank. It contributes to the growth of the banking.

Then the PM referred to West Asia conflicts. The whole world knows what is going on. Still the Congress issues statements which will jeopardize the interests of our people living in Gulf countries. They are provoking those countries to expel our people. The PM said, he guarantees the security and safety of our people. Congress criticizes Modi and risking the life of about one crore people living there. I am conscious about the safety and security of our people. Our people are not alone. The Government of Bharat helps them out.

Then Modiji referred to the propaganda of LDF that UDF  is BJP’s B-Team and UDF’s criticism that LDF is BJP’s B-Team. They agree that BJP is the A-Team. They both join hands to oppose BJP under secret pact. In Tamil and several other states, they fight elections as a single Front. In Kerala, the pact is secret, in other places it is public.
