15–20 kg RDX threat along strategic routes
According to intelligence sources, the explosive consignment is believed to be intended for improvised explosive device (IED) attacks targeting Army convoys and civilian movement along key highways in J&K. Particular focus has been placed on the Narbal–Pattan and Kunzer–Narbal stretches, routes frequently used by security forces.
These corridors have historically been vulnerable to convoy-based attacks, prompting additional deployment of bomb disposal squads, sniffer dog units, and electronic surveillance teams. Authorities have reportedly increased random vehicle inspections and night patrols in sensitive zones.
Recon alert near Qazigund Tunnel
Reconnaissance activity near the strategically vital Qazigund Tunnel has raised red flags within the security establishment. The tunnel is a critical all-weather link connecting the Kashmir Valley with the Jammu region and forms part of the national highway network.
Security agencies are examining whether the reconnaissance was aimed at identifying structural vulnerabilities or assessing convoy movement patterns. Five infiltrators linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed
Intelligence inputs suggest that five trained terrorists, allegedly linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), infiltrated Indian territory through the Kathua sector. Security forces have released posters with photographs and descriptions, urging the public to report any suspicious sightings.
The Kathua route has in the past been used for cross-border infiltration attempts due to its terrain and proximity to the international border. Area domination and combing operations are reportedly underway in forest belts and rural pockets.
Religious sites in Delhi under surveillance
In the national capital, high-value religious and cultural landmarks are said to have been surveyed by operatives allegedly linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Among the locations reportedly under watch are temples near Chandni Chowk, the Lotus Temple, and the ISKCON Temple.

Officials are probing whether these sleeper cells were tasked with reconnaissance, material procurement, or providing ground support for larger coordinated attacks.
