RAIPUR: Over 100 people who had embraced other religions reverted to Sanatan Dharma in a Ghar Wapsi event, held at Katangpali of Saraipali block in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh on Friday, January 16.

The Ghar Wapsi program was organised on the 5th day of the Vedic Shri Ram Katha and Vishva Kalyan Mahayajna, where a total of 105 people belonging to nearly 50 families, reverted to Sanatan amidst chanting of Vedic Mantras.

The ceremony was headed by senior BJP leader and head of the ‘Akhil Bhartiya Ghar Wapsi’ campaign, Prabal Pratap Judev, who welcomed the returnees by washing their feet. Traditional rituals were also performed on the occasion, filling the air with devotional energy.

The program was attended by a number of revered Sants and people from various social organisations.

Speaking at the program, Prabal Judev stated that demography of Bharat is changing due to conversion. He noted that the Hindu community has become minority in several districts of the country and the changing demographic is a crisis for nation.

Judev further emphasised that country’ security is paramount and conversion is a real threat for Bharat. The BJP leader also made an appeal to the people, to come forward for safeguarding moral values, traditions and Sanatan culture.

Calling Ghar Wapsi a work of nation building, Judev stated that he will continue to take forward the campaign started by his father Dilip Singh Judev. The program was attended by locals in notable numbers who expressed their delight on the occasion.
