Minneapolis Shooting: Video evidence & local officers contradicts the ICE account as Trump & Vance defend the officials

The video evidence and local officials contradict the accounts asserted by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) in the Minneapolis shooting case, where a young woman was shot down by the ICE Officer on the allegation that the lady attempted to run her car on the law enforcement officer. Meanwhile, President Trump & Vice President Vance have defended the authorities by characterising the woman victim in a negative shade

Washington DC: Tensions, arguments and counter allegations are spiking drastically surrounding the Minneapolis shooting case, where a young woman was brutally shot down by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) officer on the allegations that the woman attempted to run her car on the officer. Renee Good, 37 year old woman victim aimed to run over the law enforcement officer on January 7, Wednesday. However, the local officials refute these allegations on the woman. Even the analysis of the video footage, claims that the car of the woman appears to be turning away from the law enforcement officer as he opened fire. This evidence contradicts the allegations asserted by the Department of Homeland Security towards the woman victim.

Also, the local officials have disputed the allegations of the Immigration and Custom Enforcement wing and the Homeland Security. Kristi Noem, secretary of Homeland Security, alleged that the act exhibited by Renee Good was a reflection of “domestic terrorism”. She used the car as a “deadly weapon” to attack the security official. However, the Minnesota Governor and Minneapolis Mayor are countering these claims. The Mayor reiterated that according to the video evidence the victim, Renne Good was neither driving her car towards the security official nor using it as a weapon. “This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying and getting killed”, the Mayor added.

In the wake of defending the officer who shot down the victim Renne Good, Department of Homeland Security said, “dragged in June by a child sexual predator trying to evade an immigration arrest. He suffered severe injuries and required 33 stitches. ICE officers put their lives on the line every day to defend American communities”. However, the Department of Homeland Security, didn’t reveal the identity of the officer who shot down the woman. “We are not going to expose the name of this officer. He acted according to his training”, said the law enforcement agency.

Trump and Vance defend the officer; picturizes the victim in negative shade

Meanwhile, US president Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have defended the action of the law enforcement officer. President Trump has defended the action of the officer as an “act of self defense”. He characterised the behaviour of the woman as deliberate and violent. “She behaved horribly and then she ran him over. She didn’t try to run him over. She ran him over”, Trump exclaimed. He also talked about the threat and insecurities faced by the ICE agents. “They (ICE agents) are just trying to do the job of Making America safe. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate”, Trump wrote on a social media post.

Vice President JD Vance dubbed the entire episode as a “left wing network” . “So you think maybe he’s a little ‌ bit sensitive about somebody ‌ ramming him with an automobile”, Vance added. The US Vice President also exclaimed that he doesn’t care if the investigations are said to be prejudiced. He also expressed sympathy for Renne Good as she was “brainwashed” and a victim of “left-wing ideology”. “I can believe that her death is a tragedy, while also recognising that it’s a tragedy of her own making and a tragedy of the far left who has marshaled an entire movement, a lunatic fringe against our law enforcement officers”, JD Vance reiterated.

Meanwhile, protests erupted across the city of Minneapolis criticising the brutal shooting of a young woman. The enraged public shouted slogans such as “No More ICE”, “Go Home Nazis” etc. “We should be saddened that the government is waging war on our citizens”, said one of the protestors. Even the state and local officials asserted that the immigration officials should leave the city. However, the Department of Homeland Security has deployed more than 2,000 officers in the city in the name of the largest immigration enforcement operation ever. As a part of the operation, more than 1,500 people have been arrested as of now.
