BENGALURU: Young Thinkers Meet, curated by Thinkers Forum Karnataka is a premium platform to instill nationalistic vision among the young minds. The forum unites the youth of the nation with the zeal of nation-building and aids to walk in the path of service, unity and nationalistic spirit. Thinkers Forum, on November 30, hosted 4th state-level Young Thinkers Meet in Bengaluru under the concept of “RSS@100 Ideas, Ideals and the GenZ”.
The resource persons, dignitaries of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and hundreds of youth joined under one roof, deliberated upon the ideals and philosophies of RSS, revisited its 100 years of journey and relentless service and also envisioned about the path ahead for the greater cause of nation-building by embracing ancient Indian wisdom and civilizational values, in an era of increased ideological contestations, political hustles, westernization and illicit attack against the service-oriented community. The discussions primarily focused on how to strongly ingrain the values of nationalism among the youth who are hitherto drifted by illicit targets and motives.
RSS@100: Beyond a celebration; A call to serve the society at a larger scale
Speaking at the inaugural session of the Young Thinkers Meet 2025, Sahsarkaryavah of the RSS Mukund CR asserted that as the RSS and the nation stands at the milestone of the 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, it is more than a celebration. The collective goal is a greater responsibility to further craft the path of service and civilizational revival. The aim is to deep root the ideals and philosophies of the Sangh in the society. “The ideas of the Sangh have to be translated as the ideas and ideals of the society”, Sahsarkaryavah CR Mukund affirmed. “RSS is not an organisation in the society but it is an organisation of the society”, he further added, saying that RSS is an integral part of the society and its swayamsevakas are its pillars. This philosophy of the Sangh has made it possible to have more than 80,000 shakhas across the country today.
Another unique feature of the Sangh is that even after 100 years of service and being one of the oldest organisations of the country, it is called as an youth organisation, which is vibrant, active and growing till date and more committed to national service than ever before. For example, the average age of the RSS camp functionaries is 16 years, which is a remarkable factor. This is a testament to the youthfulness and energy that thrives in the RSS, Sahsarkaryavah CR Mukund reiterated. Thus he said that many projects and activities of the Sangh are channelized towards inspiring and encouraging the youth of the country for service and nation-building.
Dhwajarohan at Ayodhya symbolises the reign of Ramrajya in Bharat: Ram Madhav
Speaking at the the Young Thinkers Meet, Ram Madhav, Head of the India Foundation, New Delhi asserted about the symbolism of Dhwajarohan at Ayodhya. He said, dhwajarohan not just reflects the completion of the construction of the temple, but it resonates with the beginning of the reign of Ramarajya i.e. prosperity for Bharat.
Dwajarohan doesn’t just mark the temple, but it depicts the path ahead that the country has to walk in to realize the ideals of Bhagwan Ram and the comprehensive essence of Ramayana. The dhwajarohan alerts the country to instill the values of Bhagwan Ram and Sita Mata in the society. Maa Sita is indeed the greatest example to all women as she is a reflection of courage, bravery, fearlessness and independence. Infact, Bhagwan Ram is the greatest factor in India to unite the people.
The construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya thus is just a slice of the greater cause. The real and larger goal or vision is to build a Ramrajya and that commences now, with the dhwajarohan in Ayodhya said Ram Madhav while speaking about the real and inherent meaning of the dhwajarohan which is the marking of a new era, new chapter, new journey and responsibility for the greater good of Bharat and the mankind.
Sangh can be understood by experiencing it
Ram Madhav while deliberating on the work of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh asserted that western countries and its universities are entangled in left-liberalism, wokeism etc. On the contrary, there is a wave of nationalism in India and the youth of Bharat are actively engaged in nation-building with the ideals of RSS. The karyakartas of the Sangh indulge in grassroot work to create a wave of nationalism and inculcate nationalistic spirit in the countrymen.
The virtuous deeds of the Sangh can thus be understood not by seeing or reading about it, but by experiencing it and involving in it actively, exclaimed Ram Madhav. The philosophy of RSS is the mainstream thought in India today and to further bolster these Bharatiya ideals RSS has articulated Panch Parivartan, the five principles to foster an Indian society based on ancient and progressive Bharatiya values, Ram Madhav added.
RSS not anti-constitutional; It is a tool to strengthen the constitutional values
While addressing a panel discussion on “Accussations on RSS and a reality check” Rajesh Padmar, Author and Trustee of the Thinkers Forum refuted the accusation on the RSS that it is anti-constitutional. With solid evidence he asserted that RSS is the most constitutional organisation and indeed a tool to strengthen the constitutional values and instill it in the society.
RSS is an organisation that follows and inscribes the constitutional values at the grassroot level thereby ensuring empowerment. RSS consistently strives to uphold four major principles of the constitution i.e. equality, liberty, justice and fraternity. These four philosophies are enshrined in the preamble or the forenote of the constitution. For example, RSS strives to realize the goal of Article 17 of the constitution which is abolition of untouchability. It works for the fulfillment of the goals of Article 21 i.e. right to equal education. The schools such as Vidya Bharati aims to render quality education at every nook and corner of the country such as Meghalaya, Nagalad and even in Manipur which is hit by ethnic conflict. The work of RSS over a century resonates with the fact that it is the most constitutional platform that works to cherish and realize the values of the Indian constitution.
Young Thinkers Meet, was a platform to cherish and nurture the young minds in the path of nation-building by countering their confusions, bursting their myths and instilling wisdom and true facts, thus inspiring to walk unitedly for a greater cause which is a civilizational cause.
