New Delhi – The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) strongly condemns the sexual harassment incident involving a female student at South Asian University. We find this incident deeply disturbing and demand a prompt, fair investigation by the university and government, along with the strictest possible punishment for those responsible.

ABVP believes this incident not only raises serious concerns about the safety of female students on educational campuses but also damages the reputation of institutions known as temples of learning. Students come to these places expecting a safe environment to study, and such incidents bring shame to the entire academic community. Since South Asian University hosts students from several countries, this case could also harm India’s image internationally. Therefore, ABVP urges the administration to identify the culprits and take the strictest action against them. We also call for a transparent inquiry into where the security personnel were at the time of the incident and what role, if any, they played.

Sarthak Sharma, ABVP Delhi State Secretary said, “The sexual harassment at South Asian University is a shocking and shameful act that goes against basic human decency. We urge the administration to act quickly and ensure the guilty face the harshest consequences. ABVP stands firmly with the victim and will continue to fight until justice is delivered. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has always been vigilant about protecting the dignity and safety of students and will keep working at every level to ensure justice in such matters.”
