Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly probe finds Maulana Tauqeer Raza mobilised 40,000 from 390 mosques after “I Love Muhammad” row

Bareilly probe reveals Maulana Tauqeer Raza orchestrated pre-planned riots, mobilising 40,000 people from 390 mosques using Facebook and WhatsApp after the “I Love Muhammad” controversy. Rioters from Bareilly, Pilibhit, Moradabad, and Rampur, including children, were pushed to the front

A detailed investigation into the recent communal riots in Bareilly has brought to light a disturbing revelation: the violence was not a spontaneous eruption but a premeditated, carefully planned act led by Maulana Tauqeer Raza. The probe, conducted by law enforcement and intelligence agencies, has exposed a vast network of coordination involving thousands of people mobilised across several districts, with social media playing a critical role in spreading unrest.

According to official findings, nearly 40,000 individuals were mobilised from approximately 390 mosques across the region. Each mosque reportedly contributed around 100 youths, all prepared to participate in the riots. This immense scale of mobilisation highlights the extent to which the unrest was orchestrated and planned well in advance.

🚨 BIG REVELATION

Bareilly probe finds Maulana Tauqeer Raza pre-planned riots:
— 40,000 mob from 390 mosques, 100 youths each.
— Facebook/WhatsApp used to mobilise.
— Rioters from Pilibhit, Moradabad & Rampur; kids pushed ahead.
— Plot planned after “I Love Muhammad” row.

The investigation revealed that social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp were used extensively to organise and coordinate the mobilisation. These platforms allowed the spread of inflammatory messages, logistics about meeting points, and instructions on how to conduct the riots. The use of modern technology in such a nefarious manner demonstrates a shift in how communal tensions are exploited and managed by those seeking to destabilise peace.

The rioters were not limited to Bareilly alone; the probe found active involvement from youths coming from neighbouring districts such as Pilibhit, Moradabad, and Rampur. This cross-district involvement further underscores the scale of the conspiracy and the level of coordination involved. Additionally, the probe highlighted a particularly alarming tactic: children were pushed to the front lines during the riots. This manipulation of vulnerable individuals seems to have been a deliberate strategy, possibly aimed at evoking sympathy, creating chaos, and complicating law enforcement’s response.

The planning of the riots reportedly began in the wake of a controversial row surrounding the slogan “I Love Muhammad.” This slogan had sparked tensions within the community, and Maulana Tauqeer Raza is believed to have seized upon the issue to inflame passions and deliberately provoke unrest. Investigators suggest that Maulana and his network used this controversy as a pretext to incite violence, carefully timing and organising the riots to maximise their impact.

Authorities have described this revelation as a significant breakthrough in understanding the riots’ true nature. The fact that such a large-scale and organised operation could take place underlines the challenges law enforcement faces in maintaining communal harmony in a highly polarised environment. The probe’s findings have triggered renewed calls for stringent action against individuals and groups involved in fomenting violence under the guise of religion or social issues.

Agencies are now focusing on dismantling the networks involved in this conspiracy and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice. The probe is ongoing, with officials working to uncover further details about how such a massive mobilisation was planned and executed. There is also an increased push to regulate social media platforms more effectively, as their misuse in coordinating and inciting violence has become a growing concern.
