In Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh, police have uncovered a conspiracy to falsely implicate BJP leader Virendra Shukla in a fabricated gangrape case. Three individuals, including a woman, have been arrested for filing the false complaint against Shukla and government advocate Pravesh Tripathi.

Addressing the media, Bhadohi SP Abhimanyu Manglik revealed that the case was part of a well-planned conspiracy. The plot to frame Virendra Shukla was orchestrated by his own brother, Ashok Shukla, and nephew, Kailashpati Shukla, with the help of their associate, Sushil Dubey. A woman named Suman Pandey, a resident of Ayodhya, was allegedly used to lodge the false accusation.

During the investigation, police determined that the charges were baseless. The motive behind the conspiracy was twofold: to extort money from Virendra Shukla and to exert pressure on him regarding an ongoing property dispute.

According to the police, this group operated in a professional and organised manner, routinely extorting money from individuals by falsely implicating them in fabricated cases.

As part of the conspiracy, the woman Suman Pandey repeatedly threatened Virendra Shukla over the phone. Meanwhile, the other conspirators attempted to increase pressure by circulating an old obscene audio clip. However, instead of succumbing to the threats, Shukla filed a complaint at the Gopiganj police station against those involved.

In his complaint, he alleged that his brother Ashok Shukla, nephew Kailashpati Shukla, and his brother’s associate Sushil Dubey had orchestrated a fake gangrape case against him and advocate Pravesh Tiwari, using Suman Pandey to carry out the false accusation.

Upon thorough investigation, police confirmed that the entire case was a meticulously planned attempt to falsely implicate BJP leader Virendra Shukla and advocate Pravesh Tiwari.

Authorities have arrested key conspirators, Ashok Shukla, his associate Sushil Dubey, and the woman involved, Suman Pandey, and sent them to jail. However, Ashok Shukla’s son, Kailashpati Shukla, who is also named in the case, is currently absconding.

A case has been registered against all four under sections 217, 351(3), 308(7), and 61(2)A of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). According to Virendra Shukla, this is not the first time such a conspiracy was attempted. In 2014, the same group allegedly filed a false rape case against him and Pravesh Tiwari, which was later found to be baseless during the investigation.
