Telangana: Bandi Sanjay dares KTR over legal notice threat, says ‘bring it on’ in phone-tapping row

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on X dismissed BRS working president K T Rama Rao’s (KTR) legal notice warning in the phone-tapping controversy, calling him “#TwitterTillu” and accusing him of hiding behind legal tactics.

“You’re a coward who hides behind legal notices. You unsuccessfully tried to do it in the past. I won’t fall for your monkey tricks. Bring it on,” Sanjay wrote, adding that ahead of Rakhi, KTR was “running away to avoid facing your own sister, whose phone was tapped, something she herself agreed.”

#TwitterTillu should be ashamed to talk about legal notices after doing all the illegal things.

You’re a coward who hides behind legal notices. You unsuccessfully tried to do it in the past. I won’t fall for your monkey tricks. Bring it on.

Ahead of Rakhi, you’re running away…

— Bandi Sanjay Kumar (@bandisanjay_bjp) August 8, 2025

The sharp retort came hours after KTR announced that he would serve a formal legal notice to Bandi Sanjay, demanding a retraction and public apology within 48 hours for alleging that under the previous BRS regime, phones of several political rivals were tapped, including then PCC chief and current CM Revanth Reddy.

Earlier in the day, after appearing before the SIT probing the phone-tapping case, Bandi Sanjay alleged that only the phones of KCR and KTR were spared from surveillance, while leaders across party lines were targeted.

Despite being MOS of Home, Bandi Sanjay neither has understanding of how intelligence works, nor has any basic common sense

His reckless statements have crossed a line. To insinuate such cheap allegations and make third rated statements has to be a new low, even for him

Bandi…

— KTR (@KTRBRS) August 8, 2025

Reacting to these charges, KTR accused Sanjay of indulging in “cheap drama” for political relevance and dared him to prove “even an iota of truth” in his claims. He warned that failure to apologise would result in being “dragged to the court of law.”
