Indian security officials have tracked and identified the origin of the Pahalgam terror incident culprits. In the aftermath of ‘Operation Mahadev’ conducted on July 28, in which three terrorists belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba(LeT) terror network responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack was killed, the security officials recovered crucial data from them.

During ‘operation Mahadev’, Indian Army, CRPF personnel and J&K police in a coordinated operation, encountered three terrorists in the Dachigam forest range in Jammu & Kashmir. They were later identified as the terrorists behind the April 22nd Pahalgam attack in which 26 Indians were killed.

Security officials reported that three terrorists encountered in the ‘Operation Mahadev’ are identified as Suleman alias Faizal Jatt, Hamza Afghani and Zibran. The official sources have also said that they have identified the roots of chief of LeT for South Kashmir Sajid Saifullah Jatt who is the mastermind for all the atrocities in Kashmir and is based in Lahore, Pakistan. The report released by the security officials also reiterates that the Pakistan and LeT link of the Pahalgam attackers can be confirmed as the funeral prayers of the deceased terrorists in PoJK was witnessed and led by LeT terrorists.

ID Cards of Terrorists Speak their Link to Pakistan

When three terrorists were encountered in the Dachigam forest range, their voter ID cards, NADRA card(Pakistan’s equivalent to Aadhaar Card) were recovered and their call logs were traced. All these evidences testify their roots to Pakistan. Their voter IDs had the address of Lahore and Gujranwala. GPS data about their movement and the call logs from a recovered Huawei satellite phone revealed that their movement in India was tracked, coordinated and controlled from Pakistan.

Security agencies have also asserted that the terrorists infiltrated into India from the Gurez Valley in North Kashmir and later took shelter in a seasonal hut and they were aided by two Kashmiri men Parvaiz and Bashir Ahmad Jothar. The two Kashmiri men later confessed that they aided the terrorists by providing shelter.

The solid proof revealed by the security officials regarding the roots of terrorists further solidify the fact that Pakistan is a safe-haven to terrorists and state-sponsored terrorism is a norm in Islamabad.
