“Taking inspiration from the life of Mausi Ji (Lakshmibai Kelkar), we must understand that the development of a Garuda-like nation is only possible through the collective contributions of both men and women”, said Vandaniya Shanta Akka Ji, Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, at the ‘Sankalp Diwas’ ceremony held on July 5, 2025, at Ramjas College, Delhi University, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the founder and Adi Sanchalika of Sevika Samiti, Vandaniya Lakshmibai Kelkar Ji.

She described the organised consciousness of Matrushakti as the very foundation of nation-building.

This program was organised by the Prabuddha Varg Unit of the Samiti, Medhavini Sindhu Srujan, Delhi Prant, as a dignified and ideological event on the theme of ‘Rashtriya Prerna aur Divya Vibhuti Mausi Ji’.

She further stated that bringing positive change and giving direction to society is a task only a woman can accomplish through her innovative ideas, possessing the courage to convert weakness into strength.

Shanta Akka Ji expressed that a society can only be empowered when it is mutually coordinated, self-reliant, and complementary. Family and society together form a resolute nation.

The Vishisht Atithi of the programme, Prof. Ajay Kumar Bhagi (President, NDTF, Delhi University), stated that Mausi Ji’s Janmadin is celebrated as a day of resolve, during which we determine the agenda for the future. He highlighted social transformation through mutual bonding.

The Chairperson of the event, Pooja Surya (Director, Surya Roshni), citing the Indian woman in comparison to Rani Lakshmibai, Meera Bai, and Ahilyabai Holkar, asserted that women have never been inferior to men since ancient times.

On this occasion, a book ‘Vikas Gatha’ based on the history of Rashtra Sevika Samiti Delhi and the annual magazine Medhavini were released.

The program witnessed the esteemed presence of Prant Pracharika Ma. Vijaya Sharma Ji, Prant Sanchalika Ma. Prof. (Dr.) Charu Kalra Ji, President of Sharanya Ma. Anju Ahuja Ji, Prant Karyavahika Ma.
