Chhattisgarh: Police arrests 3 women for pressurising students to visit Church to become smarter in studies

The accused individuals have reportedly converted to Christianity and are involved in pressurizing, luring others for conversion

Raipur: In a shocking incident reported from Raipur, police arrested three women who were allegedly pressurising school children to visit Church and change their religion.

According to the details, the accused identified as Namrata Chauhan, Mamta Chauhan and Vibha Masih were allegedly pressurising, luring students of Madhav Rai Sapre school. The trio were reportedly asking children to go to church and convert to Christianity.

The incident unfolded on Friday afternoon when the students of Class 9-10th of Madhav Rao Sapre school came outside of the school premise after the final bell. The accused women who reportedly came on an auto started interacting with the students, asking them if they believe in Christianity and how often they visit the Church. According to the students, the accused were also approaching the passer-by with similar questions about religion.

Upon learning that the students are Hindu, the accused started showcasing the Sanatan Dharma in bad light along insulting the Hindu deities. As per the students, the women pressured them into visiting Church, claiming that the same will help them become smarter in studies.

The accused women further claimed that visiting the Church will also cure their illnesses. When the students refused to entertain the accused, they started chasing the kids. The children then reported the matter to a local Hindu group after which a complaint was filed with the police at Kotwali police station.

As per the reports, the accused individuals have already converted to Christianity and are now pressurising, luring others for conversion. Acting on swiftly, the police arrested all the accused and collected evidences against them. The accused were subsequently sent to judicial custody. The case is being investigated further.
