Jalandhar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 13 visited the Adampur Air Base in Jalandhar, exposing Pakistan’s lies on damage done in its missiles and drones attack at Bhartiya air bases in the recent conflict.

Chants of Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vande Matram fills the air as PM interacted with the Air Warriors stationed at the base a day after announcing the success of Operation Sindoor in the wake of ghastly Pahalgam terror attack.

Upon his arrival the Prime Minister was briefed by Air Force personnel at the base after which he straightway joined the Air Warriors and celebrated the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Earlier this morning, PM Narendra Modi went to the Adampur Air Base. He was briefed by Air Force personnel and he also interacted with the brave Jawans.

Expressing his gratitude for the success achieved during the operation aimed at wiping out the terror camps being operated from Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), the PM in a post on X said “Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness.

He added that “Bharat is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation.

Notably, the Prime Minister’s visit to the airbase comes on the heels of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) claiming major damages to over a dozen Bharatiya air bases and civilian airports during the attack launched by Pakistan on May 9.

This comes amidst a few purported satellite image released by a Chinese firm showing damages on Adampur base gone viral on the social media. It was later reported that the damage shown in the said image was old and could be seen clearly in the image of the base clicked in March this year.

Earlier, Air Marshal AK Bharti while addressing a press conference on May 12 had stressed that all of our military bases and our systems continued to remain fully operational and ready to undertake any future missions, hinting no damages to any of the Bhartiya airbases and civilian airports.

Meanwhile the PM’s visit to the base has further exposed the lies peddled by the Pakistani government and viral purported satellite images, prompting the netizens to praise the unique style of PM’s fact-checking while giving a befitting reply to Pakistani propaganda. The Adampur base was one of the Air Bases active during Op Sindoor.

Pakistan launched hundreds of drones along with missiles targeting separate locations of Bharat in the wake of precision strikes carried out by the Bhartiya armed forces under ‘Operation Sindoor’. The Bhartiya Air Defence Guns however successfully intercepted and neutralised almost all the drones and missiles attack launched by Pakistan, preventing any significant damage to the targeted locations.

The Bhartiya armed forces on the other hand targeted as many as 11 airbases of Pakistan in retaliatory measures taken, causing substantial damages to their operational capabilities.

Earlier On Monday, the Prime Minister said that the forces had been given full freedom to wipe out terrorists. In his address to the Nation, PM Modi said, “Every terror organisation now knows ‘ki hamari behano, betiyon ke maathe se Sindoor hatane ka anjaam kya hota hai.”

PM Modi said Indian Air Force, Army Navy, Border Security Force and India’s paramilitary forces are constantly on alert.

“After the surgical strike and air strike, now Operation Sindoor is India’s policy against terrorism. Operation Sindoor has carved out a new benchmark in our fight against terrorism and has set up a new parameter and new normal,” he said.

“First, if there is a terrorist attack on India, a fitting reply will be given. We will give a befitting response on our terms only. We will take strict action at every place from where the roots of terrorism emerge. Secondly, India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail. India will strike precisely and decisively at the terrorist hideouts developing under the cover of nuclear blackmail,” he added.

PM Modi said India will not differentiate between the government sponsoring terrorism and the masterminds of terrorism.

Bharat on May 7 launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ striking multiple terror sites in Pakistan and PoJK in retaliation for the deadly attack in Pahalgam on April 22 in which 26 innocent civilians were killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists.

The strikes carried out by Bharat resulted in elimination of over 100 terrorists being stationed at separate terror camps along inflicting substantial damages to their airbases while exercising maximum restraints with emphasis on minimising civilian casualties simultaneously .
