New Delhi: Bharat’s air defence system successfully brings down a Pakistan’s F-16 aircraft after Pakistan launched multiple attacks in Jammu and Punjab on late May 8 evening, escalating the ongoing tension between the two countries.
According to the preliminary information, Pakistan simultaneously launched multiple attacks at separate locations including the Jammu airport, prompting Bhartiya Armed Forces to launch a quick response.
The attack launched by the Pakistan included drones strikes one of which reportedly targeted the Jammu airstrip. At present there is a total black out in the city while the Bhartiya forces neutralising the threat.
It is being further reported that rockets and missiles were also fired from across the border, targeting several locations which were successfully intercepted by the S-400 air defence system. Report suggests that the air defence system has successfully intercepted and neutralsied at least 8 missiles.
Earlier a complete blackout was enforced in Kishtwar of Jammu Division, and sirens are being heard throughout the district. Significantly, Bharat had responded to the Pahalgam terror attack through “Operation Sindoor” in which a total of 21 targets at as many as 9 terror camps in Pakistan and PoJK was targeted through precision strikes. Bharat has also said that any attack on its military installations will invite a suitable response.
