Siliguri: The national Secretary General (Organisation) of Vishva Hindu Parishad, Milind Parande extended his Greetings to citizens of Siliguri Mahanagar and all the people of West Bengal on the occasion of Poila Baishakh and Shuvo Nabavarhsa 1432 Bangabda. Maharaj Shashank is the originator of this Bangabda. May peace, order and rule of law be maintained in West Bengal. Let the jihadi attacks on the lives and properties of Hindus of West Bengal stop in the name of Waqf movement.

Addressing a press conference today in VHP office he said that the provocative statement of West Bengal Minister Siddikulla Chowdhury is condemnable, and legal action needs to be taken against him. The attacks on Hindus in Dhulian, Suti, Shamsherganj of Murshidabad are condemnable. Appropriate compensation should be declared for the families of Shri Hargobind Das and Shri Chandan Das who were killed in the jihadi attacks. Plus culprit should be given capital punishment

The Bengali Hindus who were forced to become refugees in their own state and took shelter in Malda from Murshidabad deserve complete rehabilitation and compensation. This incident is an exact repetition of the incidents in Kashmir, he said.

The VHP secretary General (Org.) also said that the statement of the state minister Firhad Hakim about hindus becoming refugees in their own state is very shameful and condemnable.

The state government should ensure that law and order does not deteriorate in Siliguri tomorrow in the name of Waqf movement and later in other places in West Bengal, otherwise the intervention of the central government is necessary, shri Parande said.

Central forces should be deployed in view of the provocative statements by West Bengal Minister S. Choudhury to safeguard the life and property of Hindus.

VHP demands that the financial losses due to damages of state and national properties and properties of Hindus in the name of protest should be recovered from the organizers of the protests.
