Bihar: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan inaugurates two-day military festival “Shaurya Vedanam Utsava” at East Champaran

The event features a magnificent display of indigenously developed military equipment such as tanks, artillery guns along special mobility vehicles developed as part of Atmanirbhar Bharat

Patna: Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on March 7 inaugurated the “Shaurya Vedanam Utsava” being organised at Gandhi maidan, Motihari of East Champaran district.

The two-day festival will showcase the military might of the Indian Army, displaying modern equipment, models of automatic guns, tanks, aircraft carriers, submarines etc.

An impressive audience of around 8000 citizens of all age group attended the program on the first day, witnessing a thrilling experience of fly past, free fall of Akash Ganga team and performance of the Navy band.

The event features a magnificent display of indigenously developed military equipment along special mobility vehicles developed as part of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The festival also showcases combat demonstrations by Special Forces.

Addressing the citizens on the occasion, Governor Khan said that the display of latest weapons and military equipment here are testimony to the fact that today our forces are fully capable of facing any challenge to the security of the country.

The Governor later visited all the stalls along with Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta and complimented the Indian Armed Forces in organizing the mega scale event in collaboration and support of civil administration.

The program also witnessed participation of senior officials of the Army and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Purvi Champaran Radha Mohan Singh who inaugurated the job fair at the event.

Taking to the X, the BJP MP said “Besides paying homage to the indomitable courage and sacrifice of our brave jawans, the event is also an important initiative for their bright future through job fair.

Earlier the former Union Minister expressed gratitude to Central Command and other agencies for the coordination and efforts to organise the event and said that the event would motivate the youth of Bihar to join the forces in large numbers.
