On February 16, 2025, an event took place at Prayagraj Sector 18. In the first session all the presented members of ICCS witnessed an event of Kiva ceremony held at Paramartha Niketan Ashram Sector 24. The world united in one prayer is the eminent characteristic of this concept. Roots of the earth is a movement to preserve tradition and spirituality of the peoples from all over the world, to build bridges, to exchange ideas and to share wisdom with one another. In the Kiva ceremony, we connect in love, honour and respect with Mother Earth and all life that surrounds us and we put ourselves in the service of a greater vision of intercultural encounter and peace.

This form of ceremony originated from the vision of the medicine man Reymundo Tigre Perez from Texas, which he received about 50 years ago during a Sun dance. Reymundo Tigre Perez dedicated his life towards the spirituality of the indigenous peoples and the coming together of various traditions and spiritual forms from all five continents of this earth and the encounter between indigenous peoples and modern society all over the world. His vision opens the door to a greater universal consciousness of humanity and the possibility to strengthen the geomagnetic network of the Earth, as well as to give healing touch to Mother Earth and all her beings.

Reverence for Mother Earth

In his vision it was shown that Mother Earth needs us and calls us to work and pray together. The Kiva ritual is performed in a circular excavation dug in the body of Mother Earth. It is open to heaven, with five altars for the four cardinal points and the fire in the centre. It serves as a place of ceremony. Elders/priests as well as priestesses in their traditional attire were presented to perform the ritual. Columbia, Mexico and South Africa represented their worship of fire accompanied by traditional instruments like drums and flutes. Each and every participant praised Mother Earth and the Sun. In the evening session of Kiva, ICSC members from North East were not only the spectators but they also stood with other elders for the ceremony.  Everyone sought blessings from natural elements and offered salutation to all.

Enlightening Seminar

A seminar was held on February 16, 2025, at Prayagraj during Maha Kumbh that was based on shared sustainable prosperity through traditional knowledge. Elders or representatives from different traditions had participated in this seminar and shared their valuable thoughts.

The speakers included Shyam ji Parande, GS Sewa International Bharat; Antar Rashtriya Sahyog Parishad, Shri Balaram Phangcho, President of Lokhimon Sangha Organisation of Karbi Community of Assam, Shri Prakash Uike, Retd Judge . All the members on the dias shared their thoughts about the preservation of natural resources and explained how nature is an eminent part of their day to day life. North Eastern traditions are offering food to birds everyday. Sharing his insights, an elder from South Africa said, “Me, you and divine means spirituality. So we all are one and bound together with love. We all are using the same oxygen to breath. There is nothing of any difference in our water. We drink the same water. So we are one.”

The underlying message was that love is always there between the children of Mother Earth and we should protect this feeling in our minds. All the speakers showed their interest to work together to preserve ancient traditions and cultures across the globe. Sadhvi showed her interest as Paramarth Niketan to work with ICCS for the noble cause of preserving the ancient cultures and traditions.
