Bhubaneswar: On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri and All India Ghosh Divas, a grand path sanchalan  was organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Bhubaneswar. The event, held in the heart of the city, showcased a vibrant display of devotion with a path sanchalan near the renowned Lingaraj Temple, one of the most significant Shaiva shrines in Odisha.

RSS swayamsevaks performed the Shivaranjani Raag, which is cherished by Bhagwan Mahadeva, and offered Bhakti Naivadya.

The celebrations began early on the morning of February 26, with over 1,000 RSS swayamsevaks dressed in gana besha participating in the grand path sanchalan. Known for their discipline and dedication, the swayamsevaks played musical instruments such as conch shells, drums, and cymbals, filling the air with the auspicious Shivaranjani Raag, considered a divine melody for Lord Shiva. The procession was enriched with chants and prayers that invoked the blessings of Lord Shiva.

The first path sanchalan commenced from Old Town, near Dakbangla Chowk, close to the R.I. Office ground. It proceeded through Narayani Club, Panitanki, Mula Ground, and Patna Sahi, reaching Badaibanka Chowk.

The second path sanchalan began at the Garabadu Cremation Ground, passing through Gosagoreswar Chowk and Tinimundia before arriving at Badaibanka Chowk. Both processions, originating from different locations, converged at Badaibanka Chowk. Together, they continued around the Lingaraj Temple, completing the parikrama, and passed through Hatasahi, Kharakhia, Keutsahi, Anihousa Chowk, finally returning to Dakbangla Chowk. Upon convergence, the two processions completed a sacred parikrama of the temple, symbolising devotion and respect for Lord Shiva. They moved through significant areas such as Hatasahi, Kharakhia, and Keutsahi before concluding near Dakbangla Chowk.

Senior RSS adhikaris  including Asit Kumar Sahu, sah prant pracharak of Odisha (Purv), and Prafulla Panda, sah Vibhag Karyavah of Puri Vibhag, attended the event. They guided and motivated the swayamsevaks, emphasising the importance of community service and devotion to the nation.
