A Dalit family in Rajasthan’s Alwar district was brutally attacked by an Islamist mob of 20 to 25 individuals, leaving at least seven members injured. The incident, which took place in Goha village on Sunday (February 23), was captured on video, with visuals of the assault going viral on social media.
According to police reports, the attack stemmed from a long-standing land dispute. The accused—identified as Mushtaq, Sahun, Resham, Ruzdar, Harun, Taufiq, Uddar, and their children—allegedly used sharp weapons to assault the Dalit family while they were harvesting mustard crops in their fields.
Disturbing footage circulating online shows not only men but also women and children among the attackers, wielding weapons and assaulting the victims.

Following the attack, the injured were rushed to nearby government and private hospitals. Two victims, who sustained grievous injuries, were referred to higher medical facilities for advanced treatment. Police officials confirmed that an FIR has been registered, and arrests have been made in connection with the case.
The Alwar district has gained notoriety for communal violence, particularly incidents involving attacks by Muslim mobs. The region has also been a hotspot for cattle smuggling-related crimes and alleged attempts to drive local communities out of their land through targeted violence. This latest incident has once again brought the issue of land encroachment and targeted brutality to the forefront.
