Nazia Elahi Khan had earlier received death threats from Islamist groups and was even arrested in Bengal on fabricated blasphemy charges. The case stemmed from an interview she gave on August 3, 2024, to the YouTube channel ‘News Gallery,’ where she allegedly spoke against religious extremism. The attack on her car adds to a growing pattern of intimidation tactics used against individuals who challenge radical elements within their communities.
Following the attack, Nazia has called for swift action have been made on social media, urging Uttar Pradesh authorities, including UP Police, Etah Police, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and DGP Uttar Pradesh, to intervene immediately and ensure safety.
