Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party President Sri Pawan Kalyan has strongly condemned the brutal attack on Sri Rangarajan, the chief priest of the renowned Chilkur Balaji Temple. Terming the incident as “unfortunate,” Pawan Kalyan asserted that this was not just an attack on an individual but an assault on the very essence of Dharma Parirakshana (protection of Dharma).

Expressing deep anguish over the incident, Pawan Kalyan emphasized, “This is not merely an attack on Sri Rangarajan Garu but an attack on the ideals he represents. For decades, he has been a tireless crusader for the protection of Dharma, temple heritage, and sanctity.”

The Deputy CM demanded a thorough investigation into the mob attack reportedly carried out by individuals claiming affiliation with an organization called Rama Rajyam. “The police must uncover the real motives behind this attack, identify the masterminds, and ensure strict punishment,” he said, urging the Telangana government to take the matter seriously.

Highlighting Sri Rangarajan’s contributions, Pawan Kalyan noted that the archaka had provided valuable guidance on protecting Sanatana Dharma and temple management. “His commitment to temple traditions and Dharma is commendable, and such attacks are unacceptable in any civil society,” he added.

Following Pawan Kalyan’s directions, senior Jana Sena leaders, including Party Vice President and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board Member Sri Bongunoori Mahender Reddy, Telangana State In-charge Sri Nemuri Shankar Goud, Greater Hyderabad President Sri Radha Ram Rajalingam, and other leaders visited Sri Rangarajan’s residence to express solidarity.

Condemning the attack in the strongest terms, the Jana Sena delegation demanded stringent action against the perpetrators. They assured Sri Rangarajan of the party’s unwavering support in his efforts to uphold Dharma and temple sanctity.

Chilkur archaka CS Rangarajan was assaulted at his residence near Chilkur Balaji Temple on February 7 by individuals claiming to be descendants of the Ikshwaku lineage. According to his father, Dr. Soundararajan, the attackers wanted Rangarajan to support their agenda of establishing their version of Rama Rajya with private armies. After he refused, they manhandled him.
