“We hear the hum of a vast crowd of men and women gathered here from all parts of the country at this moment when this historic temple is coming to life again. In my opinion, we are having the good fortune of witnessing this sacred scene simply because of the creative urge and undying faith which dwell in the heart of man just as Brahma, the creator, dwells on the lotus of Lord Vishnu. This faith and creative energy are more powerful than all the weapons, all the armies and all the emperors of this world. By rising from its ashes again, this temple of Somnath is, so to say, proclaiming to the world that no man and no power in the world can destroy that for which people have boundless faith and love in their hearts. We are re-installing the idol today and it is my conviction that it will live as long as it has its place and foundation in the hearts of the people”.
–Dr Rajendra Prasad, in his historic speech delivered while dedicating the reconstructed Shri Somnath Temple to the nation on May 11, 1951

One year on, Shri Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha stands tall as a beacon of faith, unity, and national pride. People from every nook and corner of Bharat continue to flock in large numbers, drawn by the magnetic allure of this timeless symbol of unity and cultural heritage. In this sense, Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat called the newly established nomenclature of ‘Pratishtha Dwadashi’ the actualisation of dignified freedom. He simply said, “After suffering colonisation for centuries, the dignified independence of Bharat was actualised on that day. Bharat became independent on August 15, it was political independence. ..We also made a constitution with the specific vision of Bharat’s Sva, but it was not followed according to that spirit. ..The sva – selfhood which is established in the essential freedom, has been found in written form in the constitution, but we have not established our mind on its solid foundation”. While quoting Dr Lohia ji, he said, “Ram connects Bharat from North to South.”

The dynastic elitist Gandhi scion called this statement a ‘treason’ and ‘anti-Constitutional’. The first family of Congress never understood the spirit of freedom struggle and the inherent national conscience of Bharat that connects us all. Precisely for this reason, the illiberal father of pseudo-secularism Nehru opposed the inauguration of the reconstructed Somnath Temple by the first President which was approved by Nehru’s cabinet. The so-called champion of ‘liberal-secularism’ went a step further, undemocratically censoring Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s landmark speech on this historic occasion, silencing a moment of profound national significance. For the same reason, the present variant of the fiefdom party delayed the judicial proceedings in the Ram Janmabhoomi case, boycotted the Pran Pratishtha ceremony and still, refused to understand the cultural significance of the historic event.

The freedom movement has not been the familial monopoly. Every region, community, and ideology contributed to this historic struggle by adopting different methods. Not just political independence but complete decolonisation of our cultural, intellectual and socio-economic sphere was the ultimate objective of this selfhood. Sarsanghchalak ji was referring to the same liberation from all forms of colonial reminiscence.

Gandhiji elaborated on his ideal of Ramrajya, by saying, “By political independence, I do not mean an imitation to the British House of Commons, or the Soviet rule of Russia or the Fascist rule of Italy or the Nazi rule of Germany. They have systems suited to their genius. We must have ours suited to ours. What that can be is more than I can tell. I have described it as Ramarajya i.e., sovereignty of the people based on pure moral authority”. Does Congress under fake Gandhis consider this statement treasonous?

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, in his last speech in the Constituent Assembly, talked about the contradictions we must remove. He said, “On the 26th of January 1950, we are going to enter into a life of contradictions. In politics we will have equality and in social and economic life we will have inequality”. The second thing, he underscored is the ‘principle of fraternity’, which he meant, “a sense of common brotherhood of all Indians—if Indians being one people. It is the principle which gives unity and solidarity to social life”. Can Rahul Gandhi & his sycophant cheerleaders assure that their party has already achieved the said objectives of Dr Ambedkar, as the Congress has been the ruling party for the greater time frame of independent Bharat?

Whether Gandhians, Socialists or cultural nationalists, all have argued at some point in time that political independence on August 15, 1947, was the beginning of the process, adoption of the Constitution was an important step forward but cultural liberation is an ongoing project. The Ram Janmabhoomi movement allowed us to erase the symbol of cultural slavery by restoring the symbol of cultural independence. For recognising this fact by the RSS Sarsanghchalak, Rahul Gandhi calls for a war against the ‘Indian State’? Can there be more treasonous and anti-Constitutional statement than this? While celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of our Constitution, we need to strengthen the resolve of our Constitution makers and should not undermine it on the Maoist lines, as Rahul Gandhi is trying to do.

An elitist leader, with a sense of entitlement that colonisers had and apparently guided by foreign operators, is not able to understand this fundamental spirit of Bharat is not surprising. What is appalling is the way elderly person like Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge threatened the Sarsanghachalak. Kharge ji comes from grassroots and Scheduled Caste family. He understands the spirit of Bharat. Instead of pleasing the misguided dynast, he should strive to restore the ‘national’ in the ‘namesake’ Indian Congress, which is charting the path of Muslim League. Otherwise, such an audacious insult to the national spirit that guided our freedom struggle would further reduce the relevance and presence of the family run party.
