An epitome of dedication and devotion to preserve the environment, Sundaram Tiwari, a resident of village Dariyapur Kot, Pratapgarh, was honoured with the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Rajya Puraskar by the Uttar Pradesh government. The award was presented to him by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, at a grand ceremony held in Lucknow on the occasion of National Youth Day that was celebrated on January 12.

Sundaram Tiwari not only made environmental conservation his goal but also made it a people’s campaign. His work is a symbol of the fact that if a single person is determined, he alone can make the entire society aware and inspired. His efforts showed that every effort to plant a tree is like adding a new heartbeat to the heart of the earth.

Path Yatra on the call of Sai River
The padyatra undertaken by Sundaram Tiwari to save Sai River was not just a journey, but a call to preserve those living sources of the earth, which are the backbone of the development of our civilization. This padyatra from the origin to the end of the Sai River made the society realize the importance of rivers. This journey was not just a physical journey, but a spiritual message – to reconnect with nature.

Countrywide cycle journey: Revolution of awareness
Sundaram Tiwari not only covered the paths by cutting through the wind with his cycle journey, but also sowed the seeds of environmental conservation in the hearts of the people. By going to every corner of India, he spread the message that environment is not only the responsibility of the government, but is the duty of every citizen. His journey became an inspiration for thousands of youth.

‘One Tree Pratapgarh’ Campaign: Earth’s Beauty

Sundram’s ‘One Tree Pratapgarh’ campaign proved to be a historic step towards environmental protection. Through this campaign, he got lakhs of saplings planted. It was not just plantation, but a movement that introduced people to the importance of tree plantation. Every plant was like a smile on the face of the earth. This campaign worked to sensitize people towards the environment.

The story of loyalty and dedication behind the honour

After being honoured, Sundaram Tiwari dedicated his success and said, “This honour is not only mine. It belongs to all those people who supported me in this journey. I am grateful to the honourable Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji and Youth Sports Minister Shri Girishchandra Yadav ji, who recognised my efforts.” He also said that this honour will inspire him further to set new dimensions for environmental protection.

Sundaram Tiwari’s life teaches that when a person is steadfast towards his goal, the path is created by itself. He proved through his thoughts and actions that environmental protection is not just a campaign, but a way of life. His honor is not only an appreciation of his personal efforts, but it will inspire thousands of youth who dream of creating a better society by imbibing the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda.

One person, one mission, one change

Sundaram Tiwari’s work is a symbol of the fact that if a person is determined, he can bring big changes in the society. His efforts have given a new direction to environmental protection. This honour is not only for him, but for all those who love nature. It gives the message that as long as we remain connected with the earth, our civilization will remain safe.

Sundaram Tiwari’s honour is the result of his years of hard work and unwavering devotion. This award not only recognizes his contribution but also shows that environmental protection is the biggest need of the hour. His efforts have proved that covering the earth with a blanket of greenery is not just a dream but a reality.
