President Draupadi Murmu while inaugurating the grand Lokmanthan in her remarks appreciated Lokmanthan and recollected that she was present in the Ranchi Lokmanthan many years ago. The strong conceptual unity of Bharat is multi-hued like a rainbow, whether we are vanvasi, gramavasi or nagarvasi, we are all Bharatvasi. Our cultural heritage from ancient bharat is still continuing as worship of Surya, the Devi etc. Our cultural values are reflected in our arts, literature, crafts and in the various facets of our national life.

The colonial rule has not only distorted our cultural traditions, they destroyed our social fabric and our functioning social, economic, cultural and education systems. Our national consciousness is now awakening  and we are slowly shedding our colonial baggage, by renaming and reinstituting our places of importance like lok kalyan marg, ganathantra mandap, Bharatiya nyaya devatha without the western paraphernalia etc.

On this occasion, President Droupadi Murmu launched the book “Lok Avalokan” on stage compiled by Pragna Pravah.

President of India Draupadi Murmu, Governor of Telangana Jishnu Deb Barman,
Union Minister of Coal & Mines G Kishan Reddy, Telangana Minister of Women and Child Welfare of Telangana Sitakka, RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, J. Nand Kumar, Akhil Bharatiya Samyojak, Pragna Pravah & Padmasri Dr T.Hanuman Chowdary, chairperson Pragna Bharati graced the stage during the inaugural session.

Sri Nand Kumar welcomed the President and other dignitaries on the stage, all the speakers of the conclave, all the academicians, intellectuals and artists who are participating in the festival as well as the thousands of participants to the fourth edition of Lokmanthan at Bhagyanagar. Union Minister for Coal & Mines Sri G. Kishan Reddy appreciated the efforts of Lokmanthan for the churning it is producing in the areas of Lok Vyavastha, Lok vichaar and Lok vyavahaar. He hoped that the manthan on the subjects of Lok would help in the path of making Vikasit Bharat by 2047. The Telangana state govt minister Smt Sitakka wished Lokmanthan a great success.

Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon. Governor of Telangana appreciated the efforts of Lokmanthan and said that it’s a continuum of Bharat’s great intellectual and cultural traditions, of Lok Sahitya, Kala, Parivartan, Arthik, nyay and Vidya vyavastha. He said this Conclave will help build our national and cultural bonds much stronger and help in countering the divisive forces.

The beautiful inaugural ceremony heralded the way for the successful conduct of the 3-day Lokmanthan 2024.

Today morning,  Sun worship, an ancient practice of the Romas from Armenia, was showcased at Lokmanthan 2024 in Bhagyanagar.
