Attack on RSS Swayamsewaks on Sharad Purnima: Bulldozer action by Bhajan lal Govt against accused Naseeb Chaudhary

Rajasthan Government authorities have demolished part of a building illegally constructed on Mandir land by a father-son duo. They were arrested for stabbing 10 RSS Swayamsewaks. On October 20, authorities demolished part of a building that was illegally built on Mandir land. This building was allegedly constructed by a father and son who were arrested for stabbing 10 RSS Swayamsewaks during a Sharad Purnima event in Jaipur at the Mandir three days ago.

Naseeb Chaudhary, his son Bheesham Chaudhary, and some others attacked the RSS Swayamsewaks with knives and other weapons during the “jagran” program on the night of October 17.

Notably, RSS had organised this religious gathering to celebrate Sharad Purnima, an important Hindu festival marking the harvest moon, at a Shiv Mandir in Karni Vihar. Kheer was being served as prasad during the event, accompanied by chants of Hanuman Chalisa. However, the event was interrupted when Naseeb Chaudhary and his son Bheesham entered and complained about the noise and crowd, asking for the program to be stopped. This led to a heated argument, which escalated into a violent attack on the RSS Swayamsewaks.

This followed an argument with the event organisers, after which the two men called their associates to the Mandir. A group arrived around 10 pm, armed with knives and other weapons, and began attacking the devotees. The attackers struck without warning, throwing the prasadam kheer on the ground, and stabbed the devotees, targeting vital areas of the body like the stomach and chest. Several RSS Swayamsewaks suffered deep knife wounds and were rushed to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur for treatment.

The motive behind the attack is linked to land issues. Local residents claim that Naseeb Chaudhary illegally seized part of the Mandir land and a nearby park, constructing a small structure on it.

A day after the stabbing, which left six people in the hospital and caused protests in the Karni Vihar area, the Jaipur Development Authority’s enforcement team surveyed the site and issued a notice to Chaudhary, asking him to respond within 24 hours.

Police arrested Naseeb Chaudhary, his wife Nirmala, and their son Bheesham on October 18 for their involvement in the attack on the RSS Swayamsewaks.

However, on October 20, the Jaipur Development Authority demolished two rooms of a building that the father and son allegedly built illegally on Mandir land. According to authorities, since no response was received on its notice within the stipulated time, an earthmoving machine was used to demolish the “illegal” construction.
