Amidst controversy over the alleged presence of animal fat in Tirupati laddus, the chief pujari of the Ram Mandir, Acharya Satyendra Das, has raised concerns about the purity of ghee sold across the country. He emphasised that ‘prasad’ should only be prepared under the supervision of Mandir pujaris.

Acharya Satyendra Das has also called for a “complete ban” on prasad prepared by external agencies in all major Mandirs and monasteries. He stated, “The controversy surrounding the alleged use of fat and meat in Tirupati Balaji’s prasad is escalating nationwide. Both seers and devotees are voicing their anger and demanding an investigation.”

In an appeal to all monasteries and Mandirs across the country, he stated, “Prasad for the deities should be prepared under the supervision of Mandir pujaris, and only such prasad should be offered to the deities.”

He reiterated the importance of inspecting the purity of oil and ghee sold nationwide, alleging an international conspiracy aimed at desecrating the country’s monasteries and Mandirs by mixing meat and fat into offerings. He also urged the Government to carry out strict inspections of the purity of oil and ghee available in the market.
