UP: Second Samajwadi Party leader accused of rape attempt on minor; Dimple Yadav’s aide Nawab arrested

In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves across the state, a leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP) has been arrested on charges of attempting to rape a minor girl. The accused, Nawab Singh Yadav, allegedly committed the heinous act at Chaudhary Chandan Singh College, which he owns, in the village of Adangapur, Kannauj.

According to the victim’s account, she had gone to college with her aunt to seek employment. It was there that Nawab Singh Yadav reportedly harassed the minor and forced her to undress. The victim’s aunt, who was waiting outside, became aware of the situation and immediately alerted the police by dialling 112.

Upon arrival, the police detained Nawab Singh Yadav. The victim was found in a compromising position at the college premises. Both the victim and her aunt were then taken to Kotwali Sadar police station, where the victim’s statement was recorded.

A case has been registered against Nawab Singh Yadav under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other serious sections of the Indian Penal Code. The accused has been arrested, and the victim is currently undergoing medical examination and counselling.

Nawab Singh Yadav, who is reported to be close to former Chief Minister and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav, has dismissed the allegations against him as a political conspiracy. His arrest has led to a gathering of his supporters, mostly Samajwadi Party workers, at the police station, where they chanted slogans in his support.

This incident comes on the heels of another case in Ayodhya, where SP leader Moid Khan and his servant Raju Khan have been accused of the gang rape of a minor girl from the Nishad community. The bakery where the incident took place has been demolished by a bulldozer. Moid Khan is a close associate of SP MP Awadhesh Prasad from Ayodhya, and several photos of them together have surfaced.

The Samajwadi Party has yet to issue an official statement regarding these allegations. The incidents have sparked outrage among the public, and there are calls for a thorough investigation into the matter.
