Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, Chairperson of the Press Council of India, issued a formal show cause notice to ‘Frontline’s editor. The notice, released on August 8, 2024, signifies the PCI’s serious concerns regarding the magazine’s cartographical error and its potential impact on upholding the nation’s territorial integrity.
The notice requires the editor to furnish an explanation regarding the inaccuracies found in the map and the measures undertaken to correct the misinformation.
