Paris Olympics 2024: Heartbreak for Indian men’s hockey team, lose to Germany 3-2 in the semi-final

In a closely fought match in the Paris Olympics 2024, the Indian men's hockey team lost momentum in the last quarter as they were defeated by defending champions Germany 3-2. Bharat will now lock horns with Spain in the second semi-final

Indian men's hockey team stumble in the semi-final match against Germany

Indian men’s hockey team were outplayed by Germany as they were defeated by them in the semi-final hockey match of Paris Olympics 2024 3-2. The match kept the spectators on their edge and in the end it was the German team that held their nerves and in the dying moments of the match, they scored the third goal.

The sea saw match saw confident India express its dominance from the begining of the game as they scored the first goal. It was the captain Harmanpreet who led from the front and scored the first goal. In the first quarter of the game, India had got five penalty corners and they were able to convert one of them.

Germany fought back and it was Gonzalo Pillat who scored the equalizer. After the equakiser both the teams are rallying hard to take the lead with none of them leaving any stone unturned. Unfortunately, in the second half, Germany was got a penalty stroke and it was successful in converting it. Germany was now leading the game 2-1.

The Indian men’s hockey team gave a tough fight in the semi-final of the Paris Olympics 2024 as in the second half after couple of misses in penalty corners, it was Sukhjeet who scored the second goal for Bharat, thereby giving the much needed boost to the moral of the team.

In the final quarter of the game, PR Sreejesh pulled off a stunning save. However, Germany’s Marco Miltkau scored a remarkable goal, thereby making the scores read 3-2. In the final leg of the game, this is a huge setback for Bharat.
