Indian companies in the defence production sector are making significant strides, securing orders worth thousands of crores from Bharat’s Defence Department and international clients. Among the key players is Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), which has received orders worth Rs 9,400 crores. Contrary to Rahul Gandhi’s claims that the Modi regime is stifling HAL, the company continues to thrive under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s patronage. HAL’s light combat fighter plane, Thejas, is in high demand, with countries like the Philippines expressing interest.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), headquartered in Bengaluru, has showcased its versatility in the defence sector by securing orders worth Rs 75,934 crores. BEL manufactures a wide range of electronic equipment and devices for the Bharat Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Mazagon Dock, the country’s premier shipbuilder, has received an order worth Rs 38,000 crores. Recognized as a Mini Ratna Company by the Union Government, Mazagon Dock has built 802 ships, including 28 warships, primarily for defence purposes.

Cochin Shipyard, internationally renowned for its shipbuilding and maintenance expertise, currently holds orders worth Rs 22,000 crores.

Garden Reach Ship Builders and Engineers in Kolkata have orders amounting to Rs 22,653 crores, while Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) has secured orders worth Rs 11,872 crores. Mishra Dhathu Limited (MIDHANI), based in Hyderabad, has bagged orders worth Rs 1,767 crores, supplying high-quality special metals and alloys to the Defence, Aerospace, and atomic energy sectors.

Sen Technologies, a company specializing in military training solutions, has received orders worth Rs 1,402 crores.

These developments indicate a promising future for Bharat’s defence sector, instilling hope among millions that the country will become the world’s third-largest economy sooner than current estimates suggest.
