In a shocking turn of events, a disturbing case of love jihad has been reported from Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. A 28-year-old Hindu woman fell victim to a man named Salman Rain, who concealed his true identity and forced her into a marriage under threat.

The incident took a darker turn when Salman, along with his father and brother, allegedly raped the woman. The victim, a resident of Lucknow, revealed that she was introduced to Salman in 2009, who pretended to be someone else. He gradually gained her trust and later coerced her into a physical relationship.

In 2011, he took her to court under the guise of marriage but revealed his true identity there. Fearing the release of an explicit video he had recorded of her, the woman was forced to marry him. Upon reaching her marital home, the woman faced relentless pressure to convert to Islam.

When she resisted, she was brutally assaulted by Salman’s family members, including his father and brother, who also gang-raped her. The woman also disclosed that she had to undergo multiple abortions during her time there. The situation worsened when Salman and his family began to target her underage daughter.

Unable to bear the torment any longer, the woman escaped and sought help from the Mohanlalganj police.

However, her pleas were initially ignored. She then approached the Lucknow Police Commissioner, who intervened and ensured that a case was registered against Salman. Salman was arrested and presented before the court, which sent him to jail. Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched to apprehend his brother and father.

The police are also investigating the negligence at the Mohanlalganj police station for not initially registering a case.
