The Telangana police cracked the robbery case within 24 hours, arresting Najeem Aziz and Sheikh Sohel from Hyderabad, who used a stolen bike for the robbery, while another accomplice remains at large. On June 20, the two robbers, one wearing an Islamic attire burqa and the other a helmet, attacked the Jagadamba Jewelry Shop in Medchal, stabbing the owner, Shesharam, and attempting to steal gold ornaments. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, which led to the swift police investigation and subsequent arrests.

Following the incident on June 20 in broad daylight, the shop owner Shesharam filed a complaint, prompting the police to investigate. Medchal DCP Kotireddy, along with Additional ACP and Medchal CI, collected details and registered the case. The police reviewed footage from around 200 CCTV cameras to identify the suspects.

Revealing the investigation details, Medchal DCP Kotireddy stated that three individuals were involved in the crime, all from Hyderabad. The main suspects, Najeem Aziz and Sheikh Sohel, had used a stolen bike from the OU police station area. They had conducted reconnaissance three times before attempting the robbery. Najeem Aziz, who was recently involved in a robbery in Chaderghat, was arrested first, leading to the arrest of Sheikh Sohel. Both suspects had met in jail. Another individual who assisted them is currently absconding. The police apprehended the suspects based on the CCTV footage and further investigation.

In this case, the use of an Islamic attire burqa to conceal their identities raises serious concerns within the business community about allowing individuals wearing burqas into their premises. This incident highlights a sinister tactic employed by robbers to hide their real identities. On social media, there are numerous reports of both male and female thieves using burqas as a disguise, prompting further debate on this security issue.
