Today, Chandrababu Naidu, newly sworn in as Chief Minister with a resounding majority, made his first visit to Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The atmosphere was charged with both anticipation and concern as he arrived to inspect the state of the city post-bifurcation.

Following the tour, CBN addressed the media, sharing his observations and concerns about the current state of the city. He originally envisioned Amaravati as a thriving capital, expressed deep disappointment over the stalled development since 2019.

During his tour, CBN visited the demolished site of Prajavedika, then the foundation site of the capital city, the incomplete quarters of all key buildings such as the secretariat, staff buildings for All India Civil Services, and the court building which are incomplete. In response to the dire situation, Naidu announced the preparation of a white paper to detail the extent of neglect and outline necessary steps forward.

CBN expressed his dismay at the current state of affairs. “It is disheartening to see the neglect,” he remarked, “but we will not make excuses. We will face these issues head-on and resolve them.”

CBN commended the farmers of the region who have protested for 1631 days, calling their perseverance inspiring for future generations. “AP means Amaravati and Polavaram,” he stated. “Amaravati was our address, guiding future generations, rather than moving to Chennai, Bangalore, or Hyderabad—this was built for us, and it has been destroyed.”

CM also emphasized the significance of the Polavaram project, which, upon completion, would link rivers and provide water across the state to each acre of land. “The Hyderabad, the financial capital went to Telangana post-bifurcation, but we sought the support of the Reorganization Act to build Polavaram and Amaravati.”

Appealing to the people of Andhra Pradesh, CBN declared this a historic victory and a matter of national importance. He criticized the previous leadership, stating, “People have rejected the the ex CM. They were angry and chose to support TDP instead.”

Naidu stressed that Polavaram and Amaravati are not tied to any individual but are crucial for creating wealth for society, benefiting people, and bringing money to the capital. “If we complete Polavaram and river linking, we can bring every acre under cultivation.”

Recently, CBN visited Polavaram project, speaking about this he said, earlier, I reviewed this project virtually and expressed concern over its current state. “Due to one man’s arrogance, the Polavaram project, which should have been a boon, has become a burden.”

Speaking about the Amaravati foundation site, he recalled, “We brought soil from every part of the state and holy sites across the nation, following the necessary rituals. Even Prime Minister Modi brought water from the Yamuna. Perhaps the power of this soil has miraculously saved us. Despite attempts to damage it, the sanctity of this site provides us with the opportunity to rebuild.”

Naidu praised the courage and sacrifice of the women who protested for 1631 days. He toured the damaged buildings, noting that pipes, soil, and even metal kept for roads were stolen. ” It was anticipated that the development works in Amaravati would continue unabated, even accelerate. Nearly everything I toured should have been completed in these five years. Instead, we have faced exploitation and neglect.

He highlighted the incomplete status of legislative quarters, IAS officers’ buildings, and the secretariat, where trees have sprouted through the structures. The roads are in disrepair, and the high court and assembly areas are incomplete.

He also warned, “We will not spare those who have stolen materials from the capital city or any goons involved. We will be strict and relentless in our actions, and we will crush them without hesitation.”

Naidu reiterated his vision of developing Vishakapatnam as a financial capital and transforming Kurnool into a modern city and state and central institutions at different places of the state. He promised to seek input from all quarters to create a comprehensive action plan. “The brand of Amaravati has been attacked, but we will rebuild and restore it.” He added

Attacking Jagan, he raised concerns about leadership, questioning the political future of individuals Naidu’s visit underscores his commitment to reviving Amaravati’s development and ensuring that the city’s original vision is realized.like Jagan. “This is a much-needed discussion for the future of our state.”

Chandrababu Naidu’s visit underscores that he is likely to put all his efforts into reviving Amaravati’s development and ensuring that the city’s original vision is realized.
