The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the admit card for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024 on the official website @upsc.gov.in on June 7, 2024. You can download UPSC Prelims Hall Ticket 2024 by June 16, 2024, you have to click on the direct link mentioned below & provide credentials like registration number, roll number & date of birth. The examination will take place on June 16, 2024 in 80 cities across India.

Those who successfully registered for the exam can download their UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024 admit cards through the official website. You can follow the below-mentioned steps to download the admit card:

Step 1: Visit the official website @upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the “e – Admit Card” Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024” link mentioned on the home page.

Step 3: A new window will open. Click on “Download” here. It will proceed to another window. Select the “Click Here” Link.

Click on the download tab to download the UPSC admit card

Step 4: Read the important instructions given by the examination authority to the students. Click on “Yes” mentioned at the bottom of the page.

Step 5: Select any of the two options – “By Registration ID” or “By Roll Number”.

Step 6: Enter either your registration number or your roll number accordingly & date of birth. Enter the captcha & submit the details.

Step 7: The E-admit card will be opened. Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned in the admit cards carefully.

It is important to check the details in your UPSC Admit Card 2024 and ensure that all details mentioned on the Admit Card are correct. In case of any discrepancies contact urgently to the examination authority to resolve it before the examination date. The below information is mentioned in the UPSC admit cards:

●       Candidate’s name

●       Roll number

●       Photo ID number

●       Name of the candidate’s father & mother

●       Examination Centre’s name & address

●       Paper-wise Examination Time for the two shifts

●       Important Instructions

The Union Public Services Commission is going to conduct the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 for 1056 vacancies. The examination will be conducted in three stages – Prelims, Mains & Personality Test (Interview).

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of the UPSC Civil Services Examination have 6 attempts for the General category till 32 years of age. The OBC & SC/ST candidates are provided a relaxation in the number of attempts. OBC candidates can give 9 attempts till 35 years of age while the SC/ST candidates have unlimited attempts till 37 years of age.

As per the official notification, candidates from any category must acquire a Graduate degree from any recognized university in India or equivalent degrees.

The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination comprises 2 papers. Both the papers hold 200 marks each. Paper 1 contains 100 questions each carrying 2 marks for a correct response & there is a negative marking of 0.66 (1/3rd of the marks for one correct response). Paper 2 contains 80 questions each carrying 2.5 marks for each response while having a negative mark of 0.83 for each wrong answer.

Candidates who aspire to appear in the UPSC CSE 2024, have to qualify for all three stages – Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination & Personality Test. After clearing the preliminary examination (MCQ-based), qualified candidates have to appear for the main examination (Descriptive written ). Qualified candidates in the Mains Examination are recommended for the Personality Test (interview). After clearing all three stages, the UPSC releases a merit list with recommended candidates & their services.
