The Indian Army has cleared the air about the tweet in which perpetual liar Mohammad Zubair stated that Smita Prakash’s ANI had placed their logo on the images of the Indian Army event without giving credit to News Agency PTI.

However, the Indian Army clarified that they had shared the images on various social media platforms and later with news agencies, including ANI.

In his post on X, so-called fact checker Zubair wrote that the Indian Army shares the images with due credit to PTI and Smita Prakash’s ANI simply pick it up without giving due credit to the PTI.

The Army shares images and Video with credits to PTI. @smitaprakash's ANI picks up the video from the Indian Army Handle, Adds ANI logo to the video and shares it without giving credit to PTI.

Taking note of the false narrative that was being spread by the perpetual spreader of fake news, the Indian Army, in their post on the social media platform, X wrote, The photos and video of the award ceremony at UN Headquarters were received from the awardee officer in the evening on May 30, 2024. These photos and videos were put out by @adgpi on social media platforms, including X. At the same time, these were also shared with all media houses, including ANI. Later, on May 31, 2024 when it was learned that photos and video were provided to the awardee officer by PTI, due credits were given to PTI.”

In the recent past, Zubair has been vocal against ANI and he keeps targeting the news agency every now and then, simply because ANI reports the truth and minces no words in exposing his nefarious agenda.

Readers should be aware that this is not the first time Mohammad Zubair has been caught spreading fake news. Organiser compiled a list of 60 instances where Alt News and its founders, Mohammad Zubair and Pratik Sinha, have been found disseminating false information.
