Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir complex to incorporate Sheshavatar Mandir; Apollo Hospital to open

The Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti concluded its two-day meeting on May 25, making several significant decisions that will shape the future of the Ram Mandir complex. These decisions, including the construction of the Sheshavatar Mandir and the appointment of architect Ashish Sompura, are crucial steps in the ongoing development of the complex.

In addition to the new temple, the meeting resulted in a consensus on building another office for the trust and an auditorium with a capacity of 500 people within the premises. Before the second day’s meeting, Nripendra Mishra, the Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairman, inspected the ongoing construction work in the complex.

Following the meeting, Ram Mandir Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra shared positive updates on the construction progress. The foundation digging for the Saptmandapam has been successfully completed, and architect Ashish Sompura is now preparing the design and drawing of the Sheshavatar Mandir, which will soon begin construction. This progress is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all those involved in the project.

Further, instructions were given to expedite the completion of the pilgrim facility centre within two months, with plans to hand over this project to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) by August. The rampart’s construction pace is also set to increase, with a completion deadline of March 2025. The meeting was attended by Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, temple construction in-charge Gopal Rao, Ram Mandir architect Ashish Sompura, and engineers from Tata and L&T.

The Sheshavatar Mandir, situated along the banks of the Sarayu River, traces its origins back to the Treta Yuga era. According to Acharya Satyendra Das, during this period, Bhagwan Vishnu reclined with Sheshnag serving as his celestial bed. It was then that Sheshnag sought guidance from Bhagwan Vishnu. Bhagwan Vishnu responded by stating that he would manifest on Earth as his younger sibling, Lakshmana, and stand beside him. Throughout his earthly incarnation, Lakshmana steadfastly supported his brother, Bhagwan Sri Ram. Notably, in Ayodhya, a magnificent Mandir is dedicated to Lakshmana, offering devotees a glimpse of the divine presence of Sheshnag. Legend believes visiting and venerating this sacred site bestows one with desired blessings. Here, Lakshmana revealed his true form as Sheshnag, earning the temple its revered title of the ancient Sheshavatar Lakshmana Mandir.

Apollo Hospitals to Open Medical Facility in Ram Mandir Complex

In a significant development for the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, Apollo Hospitals is set to open a top-class medical facility. A contract between Apollo Hospitals and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust was signed on May 25. This hospital in the Pilgrim Suvidha Kendra aims to begin operations within the next two months.

The new medical facility, a significant addition to the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, will offer a wide range of comprehensive services. From basic first aid to emergency treatments, including care for heart attacks and brain strokes, the hospital is equipped to handle various medical needs. This contract signing, witnessed by key figures including Nripendra Mishra and Dr. Mayank Somani, marks a significant step towards enhancing healthcare provisions in the area.
