Famous actress, reputed classical dancer, and Padmashree laureate Shobhana shared the open vehicle with Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister and BJP candidate in Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency to lead a roadshow in Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram on April 14.

Shobhana wished Rajeev Chandrasekhar a colourful electoral victory. Rajeev Chandrasekhar presented Vishukkainettam to Shobhana. (Vishukkainettam is the monetary gift the elders present to the younger ones on Vishu day in Kerala).

Shobhana had shared the dais with the Prime Minister in connection with the mammoth Mahila Samgamam, organised by Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha, on January 3, 2024 in Thrissur.

Earlier, both Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the candidate, and Shobhana addressed a joint press conference. The candidate told the media, during the election campaign, that all are discussing developments during the election campaign. People from all walks of life want changes. The support of a mega actress like Shobhana, who is capable of inspiring hundreds of thousands of people, boosts his confidence, the candidate said. The support being extended by different sections of society is a of the development and progress the Narendra Modi government has brought.

Thousands of people lined up on either side of the roads to catch a glimpse of the BJP candidate and the matinee idol. The open support of Shobhana to the BJP candidate is a new trend in Kerala politics. So far, despite relentless efforts, BJP has not succeeded in bringing much charismatic personalities to its fold. The BJP watchers believe that lot more influential personalities will follow the suit during this election campaign.
