Itanagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set forth an ambitious agenda for the upcoming assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, releasing its comprehensive manifesto aimed at addressing the diverse needs and aspirations of the state’s populace. Led by BJP national president JP Nadda, the unveiling of the ‘Sankalp Patra’ marks a significant milestone in the party’s commitment to fostering development, transformation, and harmony across the region.

At the heart of the manifesto lies a bold promise to create 25,000 job opportunities for the youth and women, spanning both government and non-government sectors. This initiative underscores the party’s dedication to tackling unemployment and empowering marginalised sections of society. Additionally, the pledge to provide LPG cylinders at a subsidised rate of Rs 400 reflects the BJP’s determination to alleviate the financial burden on households, particularly in rural areas.

Infrastructure development emerges as a key priority, with the introduction of the ‘Arunachal Gati Shakti Master Plan’ aimed at bolstering connectivity through enhanced road, rail, and air networks. A substantial corpus fund of Rs 1,000 crore each is earmarked for the upgrade of educational and healthcare facilities, signalling a concerted effort to bridge gaps in access and quality across these critical sectors.

In a bid to support farmers, the BJP commits to increasing financial assistance under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000, thereby providing much-needed relief to agricultural communities grappling with economic challenges. Moreover, the party pledges to enhance housing facilities for government employees, including police personnel, recognising the importance of dignified living standards for public servants.

Acknowledging the rich cultural tapestry of Arunachal Pradesh, the manifesto proposes the organisation of an annual cultural mela to celebrate the state’s diverse heritage. Furthermore, the implementation of the ‘One Tribe One Weave’ policy aims to empower local artisans by providing comprehensive support and recognition for their craft. Additionally, the emphasis on adventure tourism seeks to capitalise on the state’s natural beauty and unique offerings, positioning it as a premier destination for travellers seeking immersive experiences.

During the manifesto release, JP Nadda reiterated the BJP’s unwavering commitment to inclusive growth and prosperity in Arunachal Pradesh. The roadmap outlined in the manifesto sets a high standard for candidates vying for office, urging them to uphold the principles of development, transformation, and harmony.

With the elections scheduled for April 19 and the votes to be counted on June 2nd, the BJP aims to consolidate its position as the party of choice in Arunachal Pradesh. Building on its existing stronghold in the region, with 10 seats already secured, including those of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, the BJP seeks to reaffirm its mandate and usher in a new era of progress and prosperity for the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

The BJP’s visionary manifesto represents a comprehensive roadmap for the socio-economic development of Arunachal Pradesh, embodying the aspirations of its citizens. By prioritising inclusive growth, infrastructure enhancement, and cultural preservation, the BJP aims to chart a transformative path towards a brighter future for the state and its residents.
