The earthquake occurred at 9:34 pm, with its epicenter recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the National Center for Seismology. Residents in Chamba and surrounding areas experienced significant shaking, with reports of buildings swaying and belongings rattling. The tremors also reached Manali, where locals described feeling strong jolts lasting several seconds.

One of the residents of Manali, stated that he strongly felt the tremors, which, according to him, lasted for at least seven seconds.
Another resident of Chandigarh, shared his experience and said that he felt the jolt for a long and as he was planning to rush down, the tremors stopped. His account reflects the sudden and abrupt nature of the earthquake’s impact.
