In response to a viral video depicting an alleged moral policing incident near Macca Masjid in Hyderabad, the South Zone police have established special squads to track down and apprehend the perpetrators. The incident involved a man named Ali and his associates harassing a couple, presumed to be from different religious communities, prompting widespread outrage on social media.

On March 26, a video circulated online capturing the harassment of a man accompanied by his burqa-clad wife and their young child near Hyderabad Charminar. The assailants, led by Ali, confronted the couple, questioning the man’s association with a woman from a different community. Despite the wife’s pleas, the assailants persisted, physically assaulting the couple and snatching their daughter away.
