BPSC Teacher Recruitment registration process to begin soon

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially declared that the application process for BPSC Teacher Recruitment is set to commence on March 11, 2024. This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies for the positions of Headmaster and Head Teacher within the state.

Aspiring candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply online through the BPSC official website. The application window will open on March 11, providing interested individuals the opportunity to pursue a career in teaching and contribute to the education sector of Bihar.

Interested candidates can apply through the official website at bpsc.bih.nic.in till April 2, 2024. According to the notification by BPSC, there are a total of 6,061 head masters posts and 40,247 head teacher post in primary schools  to be filled through the recruitment process.

The recruitment for headmaster roles will encompass both the Bihar Education Department and the SC and ST Welfare Department.

BPSC Teacher Recruitment Notice

BPSC Principal Recruitment: Eligibility
Applicants must be Indian citizens and residents of Bihar. They should hold a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised university. A relaxation of five percent in the minimum passing marks is applicable for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Extremely Backward Classes, Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), women, and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

Candidates working in schools affiliated with different boards such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), The Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE), or the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) are exempt from the requirement of passing the teacher eligibility test.

Degrees such as the Fazil degree from Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna, Bihar State Madrasa Education Board, and the Acharya degree from Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University will be considered equivalent to a postgraduate degree.

BPSC Head Teacher Recruitment: Eligibility
All trained elementary teachers, as defined in Rule 2 (ix) of Bihar Primary School Head Teacher Rules, 2024, who are employed by local bodies and covered by the corresponding Local Body Teacher Rules, 2020, are eligible to apply. This includes teachers appointed under the Bihar State School Teacher (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action, and Service Conditions) Rules, 2023, and Bihar School Special Teacher Rules, 2023.

Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in government primary schools and should be 58 years of age or younger as of August 1, 2024, to be considered for the position.

The selection process for BPSC Head Master positions in Bihar comprises a written exam, determining eligibility through a merit list. The written test, featuring General Knowledge and B.Ed Subjects, contains 150 multiple-choice questions worth 150 marks. (With inputs from CollegeDunia)
