In a concerning development, Thane police have taken decisive action following allegations of molestation against Javed Khan, a 27-year-old man accused of misconduct during a school trip. The incident, which occurred during an outing organised by CP Goenka School in Thane, Maharashtra, has prompted widespread condemnation and calls for a thorough investigation.

According to reports, the accused, Javed Khan, accompanied the students of CP Goenka School on a co-educational trip, where he was tasked with providing food items to the students. However, distressing accounts emerged as several female students came forward alleging that Khan had molested them while distributing food on the bus. The incident came to light after the affected students confided in their parents, leading to a formal complaint being filed with the Kapurbawdi police station.

In response to the gravity of the situation, Thane police swiftly registered an FIR against Javed Khan based on the complaint lodged by the students and their parents. Khan was subsequently apprehended by law enforcement officials to facilitate further investigation into the matter.

The revelation of this incident has sparked outrage among the parents of the aggrieved students, who have staged protests demanding accountability from the school administration. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Avinash Jadhav and Shiv Sena (Shinde Faction) leader, former Thane corporator Sanjay Bhoir, have extended their support to the protesting parents, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

In light of the allegations and subsequent protests, parents have expressed their reluctance to send their children to school until decisive action is taken against those responsible. Additionally, there are calls for a comprehensive inquiry into the incident, not only to ensure justice for the victims but also to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The CP Goenka School administration has also initiated an internal probe into the matter, with a focus on examining the conduct of the teachers involved in organising the school trip. Meanwhile, the police continue their investigation to ascertain the full extent of the incident and bring all perpetrators to justice.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this distressing incident, there remains a collective resolve to ensure the safety and well-being of students, underscoring the need for stringent measures to prevent any recurrence of such incidents in educational institutions.
