The issue of conversion has once again taken centre stage in the State of Chhattisgarh after the State Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai while addressing a gathering in Raipur said that large-scale conversion has taken place in Chhattisgarh.

Speaking in a public event, the first Vanvasi (tribal) Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said that the district of Jashpur holds the second largest church on the Asia continent, and large-scale conversions took place there.

Further, while highlighting the contribution of the former union minister Dilip Singh Judeo, Chattisgarh’s CM asserted that Dilip Singh Judeo started the Ghar wapasi campaign, which ultimately saved our Jashpur district; otherwise it holds the second largest church of the Asia continent and widescale conversion took place there.

The CM further asserted that, despite being a scion of the Jashpur royal family, Dilip Singh Judeo had washed the feet of those who made a comeback in the Sanatan fold; that is how our district was saved. “The work of the revered Dilip Singh Judev ji is being carried out by his son, Prabal Pratap Singh Judev,” added CM Vishnu Deo Sai.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, while interacting with the media in New Delhi, the CM alleged that “rampant conversion took place under the previous government where action used to be taken against the complainant itself.”

Speaking to the media during his maiden visit to Delhi after taking oath, Vishnu Deo Sai said that “I can clearly say that the Congress kept encouraging conversion to expand their vote bank, as those who get converted usually distance themselves from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). But now we will make sure that no such activities will take place, and conversion will be stopped.”

It is to be noted that the recent remarks of the CM have come at a time when Dhirendra Krishna Shahstri, the Pandit of Bageshwar Dham, while interacting with the media, has recently assured that the State of Chhattisgarh will witness no more conversion but Gherwapasi.

“The easiest way for Gherwapasi is that all the Hindus should be aware of those who have been misled into illegal conversion by fraud. We will soon do a Katha in Bastar as  well, said Dhirendra Krishna Shahstri.

The much-celebrated Hindu Pujari of Bageshwar Dham of Madhya Pradesh, who also enjoys a wide following among the youths, was further informed that the Chhattisgarh’s CM has invited him for a programme (Katha) in Jashpur as well.

“He has invited me for a Katha in his home town, and I have agreed to go there, but only if he changes the name of Chandrapuri to Kaushalya Dham,” informed Dhirendra Krishna Shastri.

Shastri further asserted that society should wholeheartedly accept those who have made a comeback to the Sanatan fold by Ghar wapasi, it’s a mistake if someone opts not to accept those who made a comeback to its bona fide religion.

It is to be noted that illegal conversion in Janjati-dominated remote regions of Chhattisgarh has been a long-standing issue, where news pertaining to conversion through various illegal means such as lure, job opportunities, and medical help has been coming to the fore regularly.
