Ram Mandir Consecration Ceremony: VHP lauds Chandigarh’s municipal corporation for planning elaborate festivities

.The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has recently passed a proposal announcing elaborate arrangements to commemorate the auspicious occasion when Ram Lalla, the deity representing Bhagwan Ram, will be enshrined in his sanctum sanctorum on January 22, 2024. The civic body has proposed an array of festivities, including the adornment of religious and public spaces with decorative lights and the illumination of lamps.

As per the resolution, the civic authorities intend to embellish key religious and public sites across Chandigarh to mark the divine event. The Mayor of Chandigarh, Anoop Gupta, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming celebrations and extended his best wishes to all citizens. In addition to traditional festivities, the city is set to host laser shows depicting episodes from the Ramayana, Ram Katha, and virtual tours showcasing the magnificence of Ayodhya.

The decision to celebrate this significant religious event on a grand scale has been lauded by various quarters, with the National Spokesperson of Vishva Hindu Parishad, Vinod Bansal, expressing his approval on social media. In a tweet, Bansal commended the proactive stance of Chandigarh’s Municipal Corporation and urged all citizens to participate in the festivities. He emphasised the importance of commemorating the cultural and spiritual heritage of India on a national level.

The Mayor, Anoop Gupta, acknowledged the blessings and support of all council members and reiterated the significance of the celebration, viewing it as an opportunity for the entire nation to unite in revelry.
